I wish Redbeet Interactive didn’t stop updating Raft so quickly. If it was still releasing some kinda story updates (perhaps side stories) and some content updates inbetween the game would probably be top 10 on steam even today. I feel like it had such huge potential but they just gave up on it

As an Avatar fan I'm definitely leaning toward the flying squirrel/lemur . Looking forward to seeing what this game ends up becoming at release. Already see the potential this has to offer hours and hours of fun.

Just played the demo for around 2 hours, managed to build a base and steer the island around, nice game and i really enjoyed it but i have several problems with the game: 1. Performance My system is not the best (i7 7700HQ, GTX 1050Ti, 12GB of RAM laptop) and i have to set everything to low and turn everything off to get somewhat stable 60 fps at 1600x900 resolution, more optimization would be very well appreciated. 2. Hunger and/or Thirst system I get it that the Devs planned the game to be a relaxing survival but I love sustaining myself in a survival game since it made me feel that i am surviving, Aloft doesn't really have a hunger system since eating is not a necessity but a bonus, you get a stat boost when eating which i really like but there is no penalty if you do not sustain yourself at allm atleast in my experience, not eating for a full day should get you a debuff of reduced stats or something. A toggle of difficulty would be a neat solution for players who want a hunger system or not. Otherwise it is nice game and i enjoyed it really well.
My first thought when I saw Aloft was "Raft in the sky. Huh, cool." Glad to see they're going in a direction of more creative freedom. Not enough survival games out there that let you really just be 'you'.
