My name is Lucy, I'm a 24-year-old girl from the Netherlands, and I'm here to offer an alternative approach to beauty.
On this channel I do mostly hair tutorials where I show you how to braid, pin and style your own hair. I recreate hairstyles from movies & tv shows and I regularly come up with my own, which I love to share with you!
I do lifestyle and beauty videos as well, ranging from wearable everyday looks, makeup tips and DIY natural beauty treatments, to fashion lookbooks, vegetarian recipes and more extreme Halloween tutorials.
If you enjoy history, you've come to the right place as well. I have a few series based on historical makeup and hairstyling that are my little passion projects.
    Enjoy browsing!
    Love,
    Lucy

This is how you make a sponsored video. It's interesting, relevant to the channels theme and actually makes you want to check out the show.
    Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I have to say, I really appreciate the effort you always go to to make your outfit (at least from the shoulders up! hehe) suit the historical style of your hair/makeup tutorial. Sort of like a modern, understated interpretation of the historical fashion. Eighteenth-century to me is the most ridiculous-looking era of fashion, but I love this video all the same!

BTW, an added note 18th Century women and men used pomade and powder to really make this look stay in place for days and even weeks. I am doing the whole pomade and powder thing to give my hair a rest with the washing and help it grow faster. It also makes doing these styles easier as well. Anyways thank you for showing how to do it.

I discovered your channel yesterday and you're so talented! I love your historical videos, but I'd love to see a hairstyle from the late 1780's-early 1790's - a bit like Caroline from the latest series of Poldark? :)

I admire your patience and that you research what you're doing and offer small tidbits of history!

Hi there, nice tutorial! Just wanted to point out that eighteenth-century women didn't actually wear full wigs. That level of artifice was all male. Women would add false hair in for styling but integrate it with their own. If you want some sources I can recommend some :)

    Hey,
they have conjured up a really beautiful rococo hairstyle.
My only question would be, how were curls made historically correct in the Rococo?
At that time there were nice curlers. Would like to try this historical method.😊
