      also: don't be a hypocrite. Murray show is for example: tell joker that his show is "clean" and has no place for his dark jokes, but the show gets viewers by making fun of ppl like Arthur. Murray show resembles the kind of talk shows we have nowadays.

    Not only do I love your paper figures, I also love your commentary in this one. Joker is definitely my favorite movie this year and hearing you talk joyously about it is awesome. Back to the figures, I think you seriously have a thing going here. I know you have been doing this for a while, but you have gotten extremely good at putting together pieces of paper and mixing it with your drawing and coloring is just incredible. The amount of trial and error it must have taken to figure out the joints and taping techniques is unimaginable. Your work reflects your hard work and dedication to what you love and I absolutely love it too!

    Your paper model is gorgeous, and I absolutely LOVE your analysis of the movie!! I couldn't agree more with it, and you brought up some points that I have never thought of before, but made total sense after I heard them! For me, Joker is an astounding film that actually reminded me why I love movies. With so many studios sticking with half-hearted remakes and sequel after sequel as obvious cash grabs, this movie truly stands out because it feels like it has a soul--there was clearly a lot of passion and talent from the director, actors, and everyone involved with its creation, and it shows.
    I also love your paper model, the level of detail is absolutely incredible! You've earned yourself a new subscriber for your fantastic work and thoughtful commentary! :) I would absolutely love to see you complete this Joker model!

    My dude i loved your interpretation of the joker and how you went phsychologically in depth with the most memorable scenes of the film, i think when he went inside of the fridge to me, being an introvert i can hugely relate to why he did it, sometimes its like you just want to hide from the rest of the world, and escape from reality, to me arthur was a normal guy who was fighting his inner demons, but the world didnt care for him and his illness, like the real 70s late 60s era. Its as if he was a ticking time bomb, due to the unfortunate events in his life he was driven into madness and he embraced his inner demons and let all hell break loose when he finally snapped on the subway. Because he has no more restrictions like love, respect, or anything to keep him grounded like a normal sane person he simply does not care about the world. The funniest scene to me was when he literally punched out of work when he got fired lol, im sure many of us have imagined to do something crazy like that, but never actually do it, in the case of ever being fired or whatever the case may be. Its like he says in the film i always thought i never existed, but now people are starting to notice me, to me it delt with real life psychological disorders and thats what made the film real. It was like depression, social anxiety, and psychotic behavior all bottled up into one film. The beauty of the film was the ending, it gave you the choice to interpret the film however you wanted, wether to believe it was a tragedy that led to the joker or that he simply fooled the viewers of what actually happened and made it all up in his head, kinda like entering a psychopaths mind. The biggest joke of all is that he believes that he is the reason for batman and i love it, because hes so crazy he might just be right. I love the age gap and that explains why he is always one step ahead of batman. I hope we get to see that universes batman and hopefully we get to go more in depth into bruces mental state aswell. Great art work on your paper model joker, I cant wait to see the complete paper model.

    I think it's great how you work through forming the shape of the models. I have a suggestion that would remove the need for tape in the finished colored pieces. Try leaving tabs on the edges that can be folded and glued to the back of the part. You could try looking at how papercraft models are put together to get an idea.

    • @PaperPatriot
      @PaperPatriot  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks!
      nah tried that and it's problematic.
      first it's harder to bend the paper and get it stick that way, tape on the outside forces it to hold together best.
      Secondly it's more difficult to actually bend and connect the separate pieces of paper from the inside than the outside, because his face is only 2.5cm big and thus his eye sockets are only a couple millimeters, when creating a curved shape that curves inwards like the face, or bicep, calf, shoulder etc. there's no way to get my big fingers in behind.
      Thirdly the gaps between the paper are often so small and subtle that there's no way I tab big enough to glue can actually be attached.
      And finally I use a blending card which is about 200 gsm, so when having the paper overlap such has attaching on top of a tab, the gap between the separate bits of paper is a lot more noticeable. It's not as smooth as I'd like
      hahah well there's a long winded answer for ya, I spend a lot of time thinking about paper :)
