Ooh gas or diesel! An honest mistake! Probably up on top as one of my worst fears! Great check points! Your great at troubleshooting, Thanks for sharing! Lynette and Peter
Buddy I got a 98 EZGO. Really been through it with that thing. Had two sucked valves. But the biggest problem I've had is that little white plug that is just next to the battery. That gets wet and you don't get enough voltage to your coil. It looks like it's firing but it's a week.
Thanks for watching and commenting. If you are getting gas and wire it should start or at least try to run. Make sure it is turning fast with the starter. If it is turning slow I’ve seen them not start.
@@GerraldFarms engine is turning at a good rate compression is 120 put a little gas into the oil spout on the top of the carburetor to see if that would work
@@patrickbessette871 try giving it a little starting fuild. Just a little. If it doesn’t try to start it’s fire related. If it try’s to start its gas related
Turn the motor over by hand and see if the valves are moving, that tells you when your timing belt is broke. I do this out of habit. 5 cent piece of advice. The block on that motor is cast steel and the head is aluminum . Different heat dissapation levels. The rocker arms get waves in the lobe causing the arms to keep going out of adjustment. Perfect compression is 150.
Thanks for commenting. I can’t imagine not being able to watch a self explanatory video like this and leave a crazy comment. But everyone was not created equal. You are watching TH-cam. Key word watching If you would have just watched the video. And waited to post that comment. But so many people don’t understand why they have 2-ears and 1- mouth. Mouth = Keyboard. We should listen twice as much as we talk. (Listen to video before commenting) But anyway thanks for watching well kinda watching and commenting.
Hey man my golf cart is doing the same thing but I have the right fuel already put starter fluid in it I have brand new spark plugs and I’m stuck right there can someone give me some advice plz
What is the adjustment tolerances for the intake and exhaust Are they the same or different? 4 thousands? 5 thousands? 10 thousands? I just picked up an 1985 ez go gasser which doesn't run and is in need of restoration. looking forward to resurrecting her. I'm asking about the valve clearance because I didn't hear you mention it. Thank you for your time and help with restoring and maintaining these machines.
Thanks for watching. We have messed up several motors with dust on the farm. With the filter up there it gets clean air. It’s really dusty under the seat. Have a good one
Thanks for watching. The value adjustment can make a big difference. Is it harder to start after you ride it and get it hot? Have you checked the compression? If you ride in dusty conditions I modify my air intake.
Brett Buckley cool. I use mine on the farm. I’ve got a part 2. I should drop it tomorrow. I’ve got some other videos on the golf cart , sub and check them out. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Is the new plugs firing? What did it do when you sprayed starting fluid in it? Sorry it took me so long to respond.

Thanks for watching and commenting. It could be knocking or could be the valves need adjusting. It’s hard to say. Have a good one
