You nailed it. I work for Mercedes and drive these on a regular and I absolutely love them. The build quality really is incredible, and there’s nothing else like it out there. While they are so expensive, they’re built so well too. Great review!

@@kendallhughes7507lol where are you hanging/driving around? I get not everyone can afford a Mercedes, and trust me I wasn't born with a silver spoon myself....and worked hard to get what I have... And now own several of my "dream" cars. Including a new S class and a G wagon as well. And have never felt unsafe in mine. Sure I don't hang around at night in "bad" areas but even if I did I would just make sure to be aware of your surroundings... Keep the doors locked... And I am a fan of our 2nd amendment rights 😂. Anyways I'll agree in saying the G wagon is built like a tank and is definitely one of my favorite daily drivers.

Ben you are reviewing a Mercedes G63 G-Wagon that I would love to have. They are top-notch vehicles and very unique looking which separates them from the run of the mill pack of vehicles. I wish they would change the air outlets on the dash they look like a Chevy Trax. Every item you look at just shows class.

Well for that price it needs ventilated rear seat and a heads up display. Also it should have a panoramic sun roof.

Always wanted one but maybe later on in the future, currently ownna gle 350 and loving it more than my 2020 4runner lol. Maybe ill go for their eletric vehicles next besides having to pay for premium every now and then.

Great review Ben. I love the G Wagen. I wish I could afford one. For the price tag of this vehicle and the high-end technology Mercedes is known for, they should make the infotainment system touch screen. Even the cheapest vehicles come now with touch screens. Great review, love how you call it a "tank", which it really is due to its weight.
This black G Wagon is gone. However, they do have a Rubellite Red Metallic one still available.

In Austria, where the G was invented by Steyr Puch and has been built there from day one, it costs about 50% more than in the US. But nevertheless I see many of them here in Vienna…

I have heard similar comparisons amongst Europeans and Australians lamenting things are dirt cheap here in U.S. I also heard that gasoline is egregiously expensive in Europe than u.s
@@1malikalik Yes, we have special taxes (in Austria) and if the car needs a lot of gas, the tax can double the price, in average it’s about 40 %.
The gas price for 1 liter is about 1.60 Euro, so a gallon is about 6 Euro, Diesel is even more expensive….

In australia these are $500,000 so im going to buy a chinese gwm tank 300 colour code the bumpers put these amg wheels and save $450,000 and have slower worse looking much more reiable sort of g wagon

G wagons look spectacular probably the best looking suv. And thats where it ends. If its looks you want buy one. Everything else on all mercs is not good lets be realistic
Why are the screens not touch screen? Seems like a really simple thing to offer, especially in car that expensive. Still a beautiful car for sure

the rear exhaust so close to the door is crazy. A great place to get your leg burnt (unless they are just ornamental )

Does anyone know where you can purchase a new G63 for msrp? They’re all marked up in southern florida.
Dealerships owned by Penske are not allowed to markup NEW vehicles. The caveat to this is the waitlist is pretty long. I put my deposit down for a 2023 GWag in December when I picked up my GLE. I might have the delivery this year, might not.

I was hoping for a unique perspective and different approach. You do an excellent job in your presentation. But like you say there are many reviews on this vehicle.

Beautiful, but it's a mall crawler. Not really an off-road vehicle. At most moderate gravel and dirt roads. 20" wheels = big mistake for any off-roading. But, most people that will buy this aren't going to be going off-road are they? Lol. Rhetorical statement. Absolutely beautiful rig though.

I think G wagons are really made for one particular type of people ( race ). It really appeals to them. Just my opinion.
The Land Rover Defender V8 is far superior. Quicker, better-looking, comes in a coupe, supercharged, 0-60, rugged luxury ... Not much can hold a candle to the new gen Defender

Far superior?.... I'd have to disagree. I test drove both and the feel inside and out of the g wagon is on another level imo. And I went with the G wagon myself and it puts a smile on my face whenever I drive it. Just my opinions though

Hello - The short answer is not currently; Apple CarPlay is wired (in other words, it requires a person’s iPhone to be connected via a Lightning cable). Hopefully the 2025 model year refresh/mid-cycle enhancement will bring MBUX and wireless CarPlay.

The interior is meh, infotainment is ok - at least not above dash. I paid 60k for 4Runner Trd off road with new wheels and rock sliders. And 4runner will last 30-40 years.

And everyone is at different stages in life and has a different budget. But to say a new Benz or bmw isn't nice just tells me you really haven't even test drove one lol
