I scaled up to a digital butter machine. It does both the oil and the salve. It comes with nylon micro-mesh bags, and a silicone glove for squeezing. From herb and oil, to salve in jars, in 2 hours total. It even beeps and flashes lights when it’s done. I have ADHD and this thing is a huge help 😅💚
Jerika have you ever thought of making pedicure and manicure sets for nail techs? A typical pedicure kit has a foaming soak (small bath bomb type), a sugar scrub, and massage cream. A manicure kit is basically the same. Just an idea for you to expand into if you want. 😊

The way I have been infusing oils is by putting my oils and herbs on a towel over a seed sprouting heat mat. I leave it there for a couple weeks and get a great oil, but not as quick as the hot method, but I feel the herbs don't get overcooked this way. I have a dozen different oils I've diffused and keep them in my extra fridge in the garage. I use them to make my botanical salves, balms, creams, body butters, etc.
We made alcohol/oil infusions, 1 shot glass of vodka to 1 oz dried botanical that has been ground to a fine powder, and let sit over night mixing thoroughly. After that add to oil overnight. Strain and leave lid loose to let the alcohol evaporate. Super strong infusion

If you compost... put the left over oil botanicals right in the compost... love love this salve!

I wouldn’t throw your powder away. You can infuse the powder 2 more times. I would do the cold process way on the second and third infusion. You can leave it for 4 weeks.
Or dry the powder package it after drying (apply date) and when you need to make a new batch. Use this up first for the second infusion. Don’t waste a thing.
Can you make a lip balm / gloss with it
If you used water, don't you need a preservative ?
The amount is really small, it actually doesn’t need a preservative in this case 😊
i used a fragrant oil for my cold process soap but after one month its smell has vanished away, do you have any idea why this happened?🙁
Some fragrance oils are like that, sadly. Try purchasing from soap suppliers who have reviews for the fragrances. Buy the ones other soapers say stick well in cold process.
