Great review and AOA is awesome. I recently purchased a Brocock at their recommendation. I have never heard of them I have Kalbrgun and Daystate . Brocock is just as good
Just received my Brocock/Brk Commander XR Magnum Cerekote in .22 from Central Florida Airguns. Spent 480cc of air today testing JSB 28.55 grain GRANDS and JSB redesigned deep 25.39 grain pellets at 30m. So far it's seems like this gun likes the JSB 25.39 deep pellets best in terms of group size, both gave me less than 1/2 groups at 30m, but the JSBs were a little tighter. I'm going to try JTS pellets, 20.1 grain NSA slugs, FX Hybrid 22 grain slugs, JSB Knock-Out slugs, 34 grain JSB Beast and JSB Hades. I got about 47 ft pounds from the JSB 25.39 JSB deep. When I figure out what shoots best in it, I'll move to 50m, hopefully tomorrow. I'm thinking though: "this gun is more expensive than my 600mm Panthera and not as modular/flexible and not (yet) as powerful. (I got 68 ft lbs from my 600mm Panthera in .22). The 600mm Panthera gives me less than 3/8" groups at 50m." Hopefully this Commander XR Magnum will do the same. I've "re-homed" all of my other PCPs and I'm gonna stick with Panthera Hunter Compact, Panthera 600mm, Atomic, Commander XR Magnum and Stoeger XM1 Ranger, all in .22. I should have my final thoughts and full comparison between Brocock/Brk Commander XR Magnum and FX Panthera 600mm (dual bottles) in a couple of weeks,

I have the older bolt type Commander in cerakote 30 ft/lb. Will be a long time before I part with it . Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
What an awesome gun! That is the perfect setup too, the scope is incredible and the bipod. Talk about the true definition of a tack driver lol wow

Wow, what a beautiful professional review. In fact, you have just won the best airgun review for 2020. Just one question, what would you believe to be the maximum distance that this ferrari of an airgun can drop small game humanely with a single shot?
It would all depend on what caliber, what projectile and what type of small game. But this model should be considered lethal at 200 yards.

Great video, Jared! I really like my Brocock(man, that just doesn't sound right, lol) Bantam. A sidelever would make it even better. Btw, that front benchrest bag is filthy! AOA cant afford a new one? Throw that nasty thing in the trash before somebody gets Covid. 😂😂
Now THAT is one gorgeous looking rifle. Just my style of a PCP rifle. A very nice buttstock setup. I guess it only lacks the ability to get the sidelever on the left side? Or can you switch that even on it? Seems just amazing. No real complaints from what seen here..

I have not seen another review where the shot string was so flat. Very impressive to me.
Does it have a hammer spring adjustment at all ? I wish there was a barrel shroud support. I do not like all that shroud hanging out there with no support. Falling over onto a log or rock etc. can mess up the alignment too easily with no shroud support. Thank You for the vid..
The strength of the barrel support comes from the breech engagement and barrel diameter. Both are very rigid and alignment problems will not happen. You do have adjustments for hammer in the Commander Magnum XR.

Great presintation and review
Brocock Magnum XR looks like a great gun. Maybe they are copying the FX Impact/Dreamline guns, cocking handle, which may not be such a great idea, they do brake. I have an FX Impact & the pin inside the charging handle broke I did a quick repair on it but it needs another pin now again.
So in my opinion the pin should be made out of hardened steal or titanium in it, & that would not have happened.

How does XR stand fir side lever? I'm sure XR is for the external power level and regulator.

Given a choice between two guns in .25 caliber...this one or the RTI Prophet? Which one?
Flip a coin... I don't think you could go wrong with either. I have a Priest 2 and when I miss I know it was because I moved, not the gun... They both have their pros and cons. I just wish Daystate would have named their sister company something other than "Brocock". "Brocock Commander" sounds like it should be the title to a certain genre of a porn movie.

When you adjust the reg pressure, do you have to degas the gun?
Even if you can.... it is best practice to degas. I would anyways.

Those are splatter fragments from the pellets hitting our steel trap behind the target.
@@airgunsofarizona I'm using 15" of shredded tire chunks (from Home Depot) in a 18" x18"x18" box with chicken wire to hold them in ,with 2" of plywood as a security backup.The .22 Akela from AOA with 18 gr.slugs is not returning fragments.
