Thanks for this video. I still after two weeks thinks this is the most complicated product in my whole life. I dont get inspired right now. But thanks again for your effort to make the video. I will get it befor pension guys 🙂
Hi there, you made a very nice and good explained video. Thx! But I have a question and maybe you know the answer... I want to record a Track on 4/4 tempo and the second has to be in 3/4. I don't manage it... Or is there another way?
Can I ask you to prepare a similar movie, but in single track mode? Like live on stage: verse / chorus / solo - with different chords in each part? With rhythm. Bas + clean guitar in each tracks.
Thanks for the video. Couple of quick questions: Since you set the measures for the tracks, is it necessary to hit the rec/play button exactly on the downbeat of 1 when the time is up? I'm thinking it should automatically stop recording? Also, will a second track start recording at the end of the initial loop if you hit the rec button within a measure of the first one ending? I have an Infinity 3 and loop 2 recording punches you in at the right moment and out automatically. AND Can the RC600 do loop aging in dub mode (aka cascading or Fripper loops)? Thank you!
Hi Rob. If you want the punch out to happen you need Loop Sync to be ON (Manual, page 3). There is not a "loop aging mode", but there's are two different ways to "Dub Replace" that allows you to replace a recording while it's played back or simply overwrite it. If you assign a CTL pedal to jump into this mode, you can freely decide when to add a new recording over an existing track and overwriting it.
I’m astonished that the new flagship Boss looper doesn’t allow you choose different loop lengths on the fly without pre determining the different lengths before the performance! The boomerang 3 has had this capability for like 15 years or more.
@@Robin_0011 Oh really? What is the name of that option in the parameter guide? (cuz in the parameter guide it says things like "rec/stop" or "play/stop" I have yet to see an option for "rec/play/stop" -but if U say it can do it.. Please share and thank you again for clue-ing me in..
I’m seriously contemplating the Boss RC-600 or the Headrush Looperboard. It seems the work flow on the RC-600 for this type of syncing is a lot more involved than on the Looperboard…
awesome 👌 I'm wondering if you know how to set the looper in this way. I've tried heaps but can't quite get there. Bank 1 loop set to me dialing in a short locked in drum beat so I only need to play it short as poss. I then want to lock in a loop in bank 2 say for 12 bars. I want to add another part in bank 3 and for that to be locked in with bank 2 bars. I feel this free loop doesn't make the banks 2&3 tight enough. I want bank three to come in after recording at the same loop length as I've recorded in bank 2.

Hi Tarkan. Yes. Ex. you can have Track one in Multi building a groove. Track 2 and 3 (or more) can then be in Single mode and they will stop whenever you select the other :-)
Unfortunately the loops start for how long the rhythm track has been playing for though. So if the Multi Rhythm track is 4 bars and you have 2 single tracks 6 and 8 bars. Start the rhythm for 2 bars when you go to record on first track with 6 bars it starts at bar 2. Headrush looper board serial sync allows 1 multi with the serial options staying in time and starting from the start of the loop in time / on the bar. I have not found a way to do this on the RC-600 as yet.
Weird question: the station does not let me interrupt the recording phase (Red LED) of the second recorded track until at least one whole length is recorded. with the RC300 that wasn't a deal. the RC600 starts to flash red and records ALL THE TIME without me being able to do anything against it until the measurement is full and it switches to play/Dub. Is there a way to prevent that? otherwise the Loopstation seems unusable to me, as it does the same with all tracks having their measurements on "auto" (is this why you recorded the silent tracks?)
@@guitarandstuff3540 Turns out, there is no solution to this problem. Boss told me, it is specific to the product. this is incredibly frustrating since I'm stuck on the RC300 now.
You will probably have to make silent recordings for the measures you intend the phrases to be. Then set the LOOP / PLAY / LOOP LENGTH / to 1 measure instead of AUTO.
@@guitarandstuff3540 i do not use drum tracks and am therefore dependant on the relative length function the station gives me. This is not solvable, boss told me themselves. I have one arrangement where this is especially bitter: 16 measures first loop. A short snippet of vocals on the 2nd track, after that (to save time) immediate start to Record on the 3rd channel. No problem with the RC300. With this, i have to wait 15 measures til I can start the recording on the 3rd track. I just don't understand boss here. My shop told me, it is the same on the RC500
Say I m using track 1 as a rhythm track can I use track 2 and 3 in single track mode( serial mode). I'm wondering if I can keep the rhythm track playing while the other tracks in serial mode. You can't do it in rc300. All tracks becomes single track. You can't separate them. Thank you
To switch off sync before and on after recording is not very usefull in a live situation, if you don't want to be stuck an a specific measure length. And you have to sacrifice one track for rhythm sync. Bad software design in my book, sorry...
I cant get my rc600 to record the sounds coming from my usb from mainstage . I have downloaded the drivers , set to vendor and usb loop in. I just cant get it to work . Its annoying me now. .Any help would be appreciated
Hi Simon. Did you choose the RC-600 as Audio Output of your Mainstage? And please be sure you don't have Auto Record enabled. Auto Record works only with the ordinary inputs.
@@guitarandstuff3540yes I have rc600 as audio output . It comes through until I change setting to loop in . Then its silent. I'll check auto record cheers
@@guitarandstuff3540 ok it didnt work.Am gonna assume a driver update is needed .In the meantime I can use a separate soundcard from my mac to the intr 2 inputs and record.

Nice Job Man! Is it possibile also to set half measure? For example 9 measure and a half? Can you help me pls? Many Thanks :)
Great video! Would love to see the new drum sounds demonstrated more extensively please?
can i make 6 rigs/patches, attach them with 6 loop tracks, and turn them on with the respective 6 loop tracks when I am looping?

It still doesn't allow U to use the same button to rec/play/stop either. (like the boomerang), but it does do a lot!
