    Thank you Tayshon for demonstrating how the elevator works. I've tried to do the gear box on my own, but failed miserably. Sometimes kids DO know more than adults. Keep building, YOU'RE AMAZING. 🤗

    Hey Tayshon! Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video - I have been waiting for this. It's a great design that's not over-complicated. The construction is quite simple and effective. This was brilliant. I liked the way the grapple held the string in place on the top of the glass elevator and the gearbox construction was simple to build also. It works like a dream! I think that when I come to build one, I'll use my infrared and train remote control so I don't have to keep manually switching the direction on the battery box. Thanks so much Tayshon - this design rocks! 😀👍👍👍👍👍🤜🤛

    Thanks! I’m thinking of elevating my train, but to do so I wanted to maintain wheelchair access to the station. An elevator seemed the way to go and you just taught me how to do it.
    My next trick is I want to use some NFC tags so that when the train nears the station it’ll trigger the elevator to switch floors. Don’t know if I can do it but now, most importantly, I know I can make the elevator - thanks to you!

    Hi Tayshon, you are a God-send. I have a 5 year old grandson and since he was 3, he's been fascinated by elevators--even able this year to talk and asked Santa for an elevator for Christmas. He's autistic, and I believe he's savant since he has a technical recall for what he sees and reads, and then he investigates till he understands it completely. What I need is a complete list of the parts to make at least a 3 story elevator. I searched at the end of your video to see if you had the parts/numbers needed and didn't see it. Apologies if it's there somewhere and I've missed it. Bottom line, please help me make my grandson's Christmas complete with an elevator. Thank you.

    • @tayshonharris6430
      @tayshonharris6430  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's so cool that he's into elevators! They are quite fascinating! I don't have a parts list, but I do explain the types of parts that you'll need, and how you can build it.

    • @lindacameron7207
      @lindacameron7207 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tayshonharris6430 I'm putting together the parts list, and I'm new to this. I'm at the elevator top and there are pieces at 7:25 minute mark that I can't identify at Bricklink by searching. I'm happy to share the list by section with you to share with anyone who wants to build this. And I need help.
      Those black wheels at the bottom of the screen 2 each one set is smooth and the others are not. What are those and what size?
      Do they come with the blue insert? If not what is the name and size of those inserts.
      Then the 2 louvred rectangles next to the wheels, what are those. Then the 2 tan round items, and then those two blue pins?
      I'll be back when I get to the motor:)
