- A couple of months back, the landlord told me of his plans that included my cars not being on his land. He's a nice man, he just wants to make the most of what he owns and respect that.

I’m going to say something unpopular but honest, you’ve had shed loads of notice and time to do this, as much as we enjoy the videos you should have put the camera away for a fortnight and done a couple of weeks proper work, maybe even put an appeal out to friends to help, that way nothing of use would be skipped and cash could have been generated. Organisation is key. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
This is what happens when you keep your work space like a shite hole so many wasted lost parts

I am going have to disagree with some of that. I am paying for the space, I have nowhere to put these cars besides where they were.
As for the parts and bricks, it only took me the day to move, and again it would seem pointless moving it all to some inconvenient until it was necessary
Oh and to add I’m not encouraging a slanging match, I think those of us that know/have met Paul know he’s a nice guy but the farting about and being a bit disorganised is costing him here. I’m a bit ocd so I like tidy, the piles of bricks in odd areas was enough and they’re not even all facing the same way! 😂

What a debacle! 😂 never mind Paul. Highly relatable to my own life. I spent 3 months putting all my energy fixing my Skoda Fabia Estate which I can't drive. My Dad has lent his car to someone so he can drive the Fabia and keep it running and im paying for it all. All the disadvantages of owning a car without any of the advantages. Could write a keyboard jingle too 😂😂

Perhaps it's time to have an auction to help clear some of your stock of parts, and a few non runners.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out and weather this is the beginning of the end. All will be revealed I guess as to how he plans to use that space and if it makes what you need to do more difficult. I'd keep ya eyes out for another small unit mate. Fingers crossed it goes OK.

Yeah, unfortunately, that one does need to get going really. The blue 820 is becoming unwelcome more though, the owner has ignored my messages for three months.
I don't blame the landlord to be honest wat a right mess and sorry all rovers you have sat are scrap only the 216 maybe is worth keeping if it's really good condition but normal crap ones why have so many and parts outside in all weathers buy the sounds like the had time to do it the landlord could of gave you notice to leave so your lucky
Sorry, but you're quite wrong here. Wings, bumpers and cars don't become scrap through being outside.
I actually don't have any room inside for storing big parts, and the landlord is a nice man whom I get along with.

Sorry they gave you short notice re the visit from the man to come and clear out etc, I wouldn't have thought that was legal seeing as you are paying for that space, as in surely a month's notice or something? Anyway, my actual question is: so the landlord wants to put containers in that space. I don't think you have said previously (either that or I missed it), but what will the containers contain? It must be monetarily worth the landlord's effort and space, if he'd rather have someone pay for a container than you paying to use the yard, so who or what on earth will be renting the container space?
There is a lot more money in storage with containers than storing a few cars
I just can't get my head round it - I guess that's why I will never be rich, I literally can't see capitalist potential in things. I wonder what the people in those houses overlooking the yard are going to think, seeing the dark side of a container instead of a relatively open space 🤷♀
Short notice my ass, he was given notice legally and plenty enough time to react. Laziness is the problem here

I agree Joe, Paul is by far not Lazy, hes the one who takes on the cars that other people wont, hes the one that actually wants to make a difference to the MG Rover Community by providing parts and cars for people. And people need to realise that the space is being paid for so if its all cleared up then whats the point in paying for the space if its not being used.

And btw, my old boss rented a corner of a field to store logs and a log splitter, it was 2 acres of logs and wood chip and after 23 years, was given 10 days notice. He managed to do it, and on the tenth day, concrete lorries were there after the ground works guys dug foundations for a barn.
And nearly 30 years later, the barn is still unused..... go figure 🤦♂️

Thanks for coming back. It was and still is a situation. The problem is that the space is actually needed, so clearing up beforehand would have made no sense.
Some of the less positive comments were done politely, but then a few got on the bandwagon and did irritate me a little because I thought people were here to watch the video, which I thought was good

Would love a storage place for my 7 vehicles but you have many more and lots of body parts maybe the yard is not really right for you..
If you have panels you could do i weigh in system once a month of parts you no longer require.
That is cash in your favour..
Space is as you probably know a premium cost. So you could be better off having a different place its very quirky place where you are I feel your pain..
