Always loved how the Dark Aether themes sounded like strangled, choked out versions of their light world counterparts. Really helped to sell the oppressive atmosphere of those parts of the game.
Dark Aether has a way to make you feel completely hollow. Not necessarily scared or sad, just empty. Going back to Light Aether always feels like I'm coming back to life somehow.
@kruvik oh mannn I beat this game about 2 years ago and the dark world's scared tf outta me, especially when exploring areas that wasn't ready to be explored yet 😅
Hearing and focusing on some of the background sounds in tandem with the music makes this much creepier. Ambience making you feel alone, but unsafe at the same time, as if you're being watched.
If Phazon was able to split a world in two and create a dark dimension it makes you wonder what else it is capable of. Sucks we most likely won't be seeing anything Phazon related in Prime 4.

+Mike Miller So true...

*Soulless.* 🖤👿
Metroid may not be a horror game series but they are really good at making unnerving areas and fitting music for them
Certainly! Was rather scary back in the day though...

It kind of is as it was based on Alien which is pretty much sci-fi horror
@@pspgamerserjioI know what you mean. When I first played it I didn't want to enter a new room, like how I felt playing resident evil
U-Mos, I don't wanna go down there! It's dark and creepy and smells like death!
this makes me sex
I've spent. So much time in the dark world when I first played Prime 2. I was lost. Confused. And in love with the music.
Very relatable!

Nah the Prime 3 secret/true ending is a massive cliffhanger and looks like Phazon. Also they just dropped a trailer for it today!
Dark Aether's rendition of themes are criminally underrated.
Spookeh
Its that weird belching sound that occasionally pops in that gets me. Perfectly creepy
Thank you ☺️
1:01 - 1:05 gives me chills. That part is so chilling and awesomely so
Many parts of the soundtrack give me chills. It's awesome!
