I'm happy you posted this because I'm about to do mines. I got the Jegs kit. And im running 15x10s . You had me sweating the entire video until you said jegs will work!!😂
Thank you for the info! I'm elbows deep building a 12 bolt to fit my QA1 suspension, with disc brake conversion. I'll be looking at these plates for certain before install. Cheers from Canada ehhhh :-)
Well that explains why my wheels wouldn’t spin on the ass end of my 56 chevy truck. I had to go buy new “bigger” wheels. Needless to say I was not happy. Now I know why. Also I had to grind out the hub register on the rotor hardly an easy deal when putting a kit together that was supposed to be for my application.
@@79_Trucker yeah we made this video because it got us. We were only lucky enough to have multiple projects with same rear axles at the same time to compare different kits. Sorry wasn’t able to help on other project, but maybe this will help on the next one 👍🏻🙌🏼🔧🔧🔧🔧 thanks for watching 👍🏻🎥🎥
Someone on the Jegs site complaining the bracket pulls the caliper in too close to the rotor and it’s dragging on the hat of the rotor. I wonder where the variation is.
@ I decided to purchase the kit. Installed fine, did not bind like the review stated. It does ride on the outside of the rotor hat, but can be relieved by bending the tabs on the pads. Thanks for the video.
So what your say'n is that all kits aren't built the same? Well dog-gone-it. Thanks for sharing that knowledge. Now I can get back to building my Dodge! lol
😂😂😂 surprise parts from China are not all the same 😂😂😂🔧🔧🔧🔧 I figured this would bite someone else, so maybe this will save someone a headache 👍🏻🙌🏼👊🏼🔧🔧🔧
i have been looking for that myself, i found the calipers are Cadillac Eldorado rear calipers. but the rotors cant be off Cadillac because GM cars were 5 x 4.75 wheel bolt pattern and trucks are 5 x 5 wheel bolt pattern. I think someone must be making these rotors, cant find an OEM application that had 5 x 5 pattern with rear disc brakes. will update if i ever find a number for rotors. Thanks for watching 👍👍🎥🎥🎥🎥
I know it's been hard to find it, I found some threads that 77 seville are 5x5, but I don't think it will fit right on because I'm afraid of the center bore diameter, also the 90' impala are 5x5
thank you i'm getting ready to do a rear disc brake swap on a 72 cheyenne and using 10 inch rally wheels . do these take special pads or can you get them anywhere
@@doug595959 the kits you buy come with calipers and brake pads, but the pads are cheap china just and turn your rims black every time you drive it. Would be nice to buy just the brackets. What disc setup are you using in the fronts?
The brackets are available on eBay for about $85 bucks

This going under the K5?
