Those EMT's did not check if he was breathing and did not take a pulse. It was so disturbing to see them not give a damn about that Black Man. All these men should lose their licesnes.
What needs to be done is they need to get black balled from serving in any police department and working in security. These men are not mentally capable of handing such jobs. They also need to lose their pensions and not get paid while this investigation is going on. I don't get why police officers who are under investigation after murdering someone still get paid. Cops need to be held accountable like every other citizen is. There is nothing that should keep them from being treated like a murderer, you gonna act like one you get treated like one.

Former EMT here. In all likelihood, he died shortly after he passed out, and was already dead when they put him on the stretcher. They didn't announce his death until at the hospital, hence, that's where he legally died. It's so they do lifesaving measures like CPR en route to the hospital, which, I did not see here.

He stopped moving & showing any kind of response whatsoever with bystanders pleading to "check his pulse" because you can see he expired. Yet the cop held his knee for a solid 5 more minutes. When the ambulance arrived, they made no attempt whatsoever to revive him & simply threw him on the gurney. I'm a white guy & am usually outraged by black communities rioting. But I gotta say, If they don't prosecute these assholes, I advocate for burning down the ENTIRE city.

If they knew he had medical conditions, it would have made even better sense not to jam your knee into his neck with pressure. Lies. They told off on themselves. If he was crying that he could not breathe, it would have made sense to stop and tend to him, of course, that’s if you’re a human with a soul.

Note: this video is only 30 seconds longer than the amount of time that Mr. Floyd had a knee on his neck. Consider the restriction of not only air flow, but arterial blood flow to his brain. He suffered every second until he died on that street while surrounded by a crowd of teenagers (CHILDREN!!) begging the officers to stop, seeing this poor man die in front of them.

I share your fervour, but the last thing we want for the victim is an acquittal of these cops. They need to be convicted of at least one type of homicide charge, be it negligent homicide, manslaughter or murder. Sadly, the sentencing prospects for these charges are rather different, so I really hope they’ll at least get a few years prison time. Cops and deputies do need more education and training. 6 months at a community college is not good enough. No one wants evil to win. At the same time we need educated and trained police officers. Many do not know the laws they have been charged to uphold. It takes a person about 7 years to become a lawyer, 12 or more to be a specialist or surgeon. Lives are at risk. Both citizens and LEOs. There’s a reason higher enforcement agencies such as the FBI typically require a college degree.

No, the WORST thing that could've happen to someone jumping in to get that officer's knee off of his neck would've been that someone would've gotten shot! The crowd was already being & pleading for the officer to get off the man's neck! At one point, the officer looked directly into the camera while still maintaining his knee pressure to that man's neck! The Asian officer stepped to some guy in the crowd, but when the crowd pushed back with their aggression, he backed up. That cop who had his knee on George Floyd's neck... He heard George begging him to get off him many times, because he couldn't breath. He saw the pain George was in, then he saw when George stopped moving. Even then, that cop continued to keep his hand in his pocket, looking very casual, looking down at George, shifting his weight on George's neck, even smiling at some point. That cop was enjoying what he was doing! That is murder!

Cops and deputies do need more education and training. 6 months at a community college is not good enough. No one wants evil to win. At the same time we need educated and trained police officers. Many do not know the laws they have been charged to uphold. It takes a person about 7 years to become a lawyer, 12 or more to be a specialist or surgeon. Lives are at risk. Both citizens and LEOs. There’s a reason higher enforcement agencies such as the FBI typically require a college degree.

Those that are sufficiently trained make better decisions and are well knowledgeable about the laws and rights of the citizens they must protect.
