Three hours? Thats all it took? Wow! When i was growing up, my parents still had the old hand crank style ice cream maker. That takes forever. But it was so worth it in the end. The ice cream maker i have requires you to freeze the container and the paddle along with making sure your ingredients are very cold. A goot tip for that is placeling your ingredients in the freezer about a half hour becore you plan to use them.
Nahh I have a Lesso icce cream maker, and it churns the ice cream while freezing it in less than 30 minutes. Haven’t been to an ice cream shop in over 5 years. Edit: y’all are haters. This is an ice cream machine? So what if its expensive, just don’t buy it, ok? Plus, i got it as a present.

Fun fact you can make ice cream in a bag. It doesn't take long it just takes energetic kids😍 it took my family about 30 minutes of shaking the bag it was so fun
A quicker way is to mix 1 cup of half and half, bout tsp of vanilla (if you have to add more go ahead) and add about Tsp of sugar (I think I don't remember) put it in a plastic bag, grab a bigger plastic bag fill it with about 4 cups of ice and some salt* and put the bag with the milk mixture into the ice bag and shake it for about 15 minutes or longer :)
Having the liquid ice cream (ice cream soup? Ice cream broth?) in a yoghurt container is so relatable (but not with ice cream, normally it stores other random stuff)
Pro tip: when making food with an impatient kid, do the thing that cooking shows do: have a ready made version to do a swap with. I have an amazing cookie recipe that requires at least 1 hour in the fridge. When I make cookies with my nibblings, I make a batch ahead that will be in the fridge chilling. Then after we have made the fresh stuff, I swap it for the pre-chilled ones and they are ready to bake. All cookies get eventually baked but we give the other cookies to friends, family, and coworkers.
For whoever wants something sweet: you can actually make an ice cream adjacent sweet frozen dessert by like mixing frozen whipped cream and condensed milk, and adding whatever flavoring (like powdered, you just have to mix it really well, still gonna be a little chunky) you don't need to add sugar since both things have sugar
The bag in bag method is best way to entertain kids with making ice cream. Just putting it in a machine and then putting it in the freezer won’t do it for them
Her reactions are adorable. And man, i cant remember the last time I made ice cream. My dad had some ice cream maker machine which required the ingredients and manual work for it. And i think the ice cream turned out really nice. Though im pretty sure it was a decade or so ago.

I really like your videos in which Charlie Cool Shades makes an appearance. Jeannelle should continue the "stuff them with refined sugar" theme while hiding the fact from their mother. Each episode can reveal a new way to surreptitiously carb-load the little tykes while the mother remains clueless.
It's actually not good for kids to get violent just because of something that their siblings, friends, family etc. just bcs they did something they liked without them
My friend’s mom had an old school wooden bucket thing with a hand crank and you placed rock salt around the lid or something.
