I always cut off the top and put it face down on a plate into the fridge. Cut off one slice everyday and it is so juicy an sweet by the end of the week!
Pineapples used to be a sign of extreme wealth & affluence in the UK and there are still a lot of stone sculptures in London displaying how rich the property owner's house is... Because they have pineapples! They also used to diplay pineapples in their windows to show off because it was such a posh thing to do.
Thank you for this video! I love pineapple, but it seems so expensive to buy precut pineapple at $10 when I can buy a whole one for under $4. I now feel confident to pick one and cut it up too!
Thank you sir. I live in Mexico...But, I've always resisted buying pineapple because the risk was too great. Money down the drain if you bite and all you get back is TART!!! YUK. Thanks to you, I just devoured the sweetest, juiciest, most heavenly pineapple ever grown....Hahahaha...Gotta love TH-cam!
Hmmm, I purchased three pineapples yesterday on-line cart and I think they are not ready. 😏 Wish I had seen this video sooner. However, gratitude for posting. 😎
Right on time. I usually buy the pre packaged slices. Bought a whole pineapple a few weeks ago, for the first time, and clearly didn't pick it the right way. The slices were a bit tart. Will use your technique next time.
Citric acid can also kill the H. pylori bacteria which is the main cause of gastric ulcers so... I would certainly prefer eat too many pineapples than have to go through that nastiness. The more pineapples the betterr in my opinion, unless you have just had a tooth extracted because citric acid can cause enamel erosion when you are not able to brush your teeth properly.
Thank you. I had no knowledge of choosing a good pinapple. Your advice worked. I bought two very good pineapples today!

Aldi $1
right i saw them at 4 dollar a pop and was like holy hell thats such a good deal. they are so good
Most supermarkets I've come across sell them for about $2. The problem is they are almost never "fresh"
@@tilasole3252 do you mean there are ripe or over ripe ?
Probably over ripe. They just never seem of good quality. Probably why they sell so cheaply at $2. =P
we love the green ones!
Subscribed! Thank you for the video. Lol at "Linda!"
Pinaple pro. Very good. I just started to enjoy fresh Pinaple, and I'm 75.
Awesome video!
Thank you!!!
I'm so thankful there are other signs besides color. I can't tell the difference between light green and yellow.
Thanks for the tip, i bought my apple. Big up from Manchester UK

Uncle Chris ❤ to much!❤
🍍thanks for sharing ‼️🍍🥰

I never noticed how a ripe pineapple is heavier than a unripe one. I usually just pull the leaves and keep it moving. Thanks Chris!
most welcome
it doesn't gain mass that breaks the laws of thermodynamics
Tanks mon. I do it right dis time :-)
I've stuck with canned for the very reason that I can't tell when a pineapple is ready for me but you make it easy.

Mine felt soapy snd had a beer smell to it. Still somewhat sweet though.
Could you do a video on how to choose a good watermelon?
I shall.

I smell all my fruits before I buy. I dont care who looking!
same oui
Can you use the centre of the pineapple 🍍 for anything I usually eat the core with the juicy fruit?
a good ripe pineapple.. even the core will be sweet (In my experience).
Vitamix salespeople always mention that it is edible, has anti-inflammatory benefits, can be broken down by vitamix blender .
@@caribbeanpot Even when not so sweet, I actually enjoy the crunch of it. Greetings from northern Australia.
I use the center on the grill or under Ham to sweeten Basting Juice...
So what if you let the not so ripe pineapple set and get slightly rotten won't the fruit be juicier and sweeter?
I am taking notes. Lol
nice
Did the unripe one taste sweet after sitting in the fridge?
yes.. the starch at the bottom, trickles down the rest of the pineapple, spreading the sugar (starch) around
Hey man !!!💖😇😻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
oye!

You should have told Karen off. She's always more in your face!
don't eat too much, you will get sores in your mouth
