- heeeeellooo!! it's been a while! finally found the motivation to make a video again, and this time it only took one (1) month after i filmed everything lol. yale had a hybrid model this semester, though most of my classes were fully remote and i was off-campus for the entire time. hopefully we'll be back to normal in the fall and i'll be able to make some on-campus videos, although it's kind of terrifying to film in public...

thanks so much! i'm super lucky that i got to spend most of 1L year in person, pre-pandemic, so i feel like i've been able to find a social circle i love very much. generally everyone i've met has been super nice and friendly, and new haven is a pretty vibrant college town/city with lots of do. lots of restaurants, shops, and parks to explore.

I bought this USB hub online that has regular USB plugs (for my mouse, keyboard, and external drive), thunderbolt (for the newer macs), and HDMI (for my monitor)!

Congrats on finishing 2L! I have a question if you don’t mind… I am pre-law and of course at least interested in a T14. I’d like to do public interest with heavy litigation, so many people have steered me from T14s and Yale especially because they are so theoretical in nature and may not prepare me to litigate. Do you find that that has been your experience? Have you been prepared to practically argue in a courtroom?
thank you! Yale is probably the best place to go if you want to do public interest litigation, since that field is even more prestige-focused than biglaw! for example, places like ACLU really only hire from the top schools. so my advice would be to get into the best school that you can, and the rest will fall into place. Yale has a bunch of litigation-based clinics (including a Supreme Court one) where you'll get practical experience with litigation, so even if the classes are theoretical, you'll get experience. we also have experiential courses taught by experienced practitioners as well (i think there's one on constitutional litigation, for example, that's all about arguing cases). most of your practical knowledge will probably be gained in real practice, such as during your summer internships, but that's true for all law schools. personally i'm transactional-focused, so i haven't taken any litigation classes, but i know there are a lot of them!

thank you! i use final cut pro. i used to use adobe premiere, but switched over to final cut because it's so much easier to use, faster, and more intuitive.
