Thank you for the tips! Love tip 3 about keeping the poses looking unposed. Something I like to do it tell my model to do something like fix your hair or shift this way as if they are preparing for a posed photo and I take the photo whe they aren't focused on the camera. It keeps it candid and always turns out to be my favorite shots!

Any way you can find to distract the bride from the camera is a win for me! “Camera unaware” is hard to fake… takes some distraction tricks sometimes to get their mind off of that intimidating lens. I like to also shoot from the hip sometimes using the flip up monitor in the Sony A1. Its easier to make them forget about my camera when I’m not looking through it. 👍🏻
Haha good point and thanks for noticing lol. Sometimes you work with what you have. In this video we opted for good audio vs video. We literally scoured the entire TWA Hotel for a quiet spot but they love to play the music loud (not useable for TH-cam licensing) so we shot this in the corner of my hotel room.
