My claim to fame, I had two uncle brothers who were apprenticed to then Nigel Gresley, one ended his career as works manager at BREL Eastleigh, the other became a government R&D Inspector with HM Government!! Due to family history I knew neither until shortly before they passed away, but I did manage an afternoon in Eastleigh works to see the mates. I was working on BR myself just then. The one at Doncaster has the RFS Industries logo. They operated in part of the works at this time. Think they had some Class 20's for use in the Channel Tunnel construction.

God last time I went to Kirkgate in 2020 I saw about 2 freights in 3 hours.
Yes, it's very poor there for freight. I still film there but it's a shadow of what was once there.......
