Nice one sir! Ye good 'ol 47804 with her branding at the opposite end, and 47433 there, that one i photted at Tonbridge a year later in similar conditions, so i nabbed some flaky paint and bit of metal off her, which i still possess in a film pot.
Cracking old footage best days those class 43 looked run down no headlights working but most BR stock was unloved in those days, class 91 pulling those mk2 coaches back out followed by 47 which must of been the inbound locomotive, thanks for sharing 👍
Charter trains are how Thomas Cook the holiday company started out. The used to run charters for factory staff on wake weeks to holiday resorts. BR not only had the Intercity charter unit, but also ran the Merrymakers, football and rugby specials they also ran holiday excursions as well. Network southeast ran their networker days. Regional railways also ran special trains. I'm pretty sure Soi has in his extensive library videos of the regional railways ones where trains were hauled by class 20, 31 37 47 56 and 60. As well as the NSE networker trains, usually a class 33 or 73 with a 4TC set or 2.
@@roberthill6216 Yes, i have been on many a Merrymaker special to places various, and that was back in the 1970s on family days out! Plus, yes, there are a fair few vids of various railtours (ie private charters) that have ran since the 1950s, loads at the end of steam for instance......
The great British weather……
Not only frustrating for photographers but also for the drivers seeing signals.

My pleasure..... it wasn't often you saw 91s on anything other than MkIV stock......
Very nice 👍👍👍
Seeing the locos emerging from and disappearing into the mist gives the video a haunting atmosphere...
Intercity 125 and Intercity 225. And Network Southeast as well. Maybe Intercity should make a return one day.
Lovely thanks Soi, I expect this place looks unkept now like the rest of the railway network.
Yes, most of the UK railway is disappearing under weeds, trees and bushes!
They had charters in BR days??
Well, British Rail had the Inter-City Charter Unit..... In fact, charter trains go back to the dawn of railways.....
