as always, really good content and explanation, you're so good in explaining like wave managment and when to roam or harass your oponnent, keep up with the nice videos. Hope your channel grow really fast!
Hi there! Great video as always, 2 things I need more explanation on: 1. What's the reasoning behind Faker's TP at 9:39? It seems that he pushed the wave early, finished recall when the wave was between t2 and inhibitor tower (cannon wave even!) and got boots, wouldn't walking work out? 2. Seems like he was perma pushing under enemy tower, how does enemy jungler fit into the equation? Was he tracking Kayne so well he knew he's safe and can afford shoving? Will you be covering jungler tracking in the next guides?
1. Honestly not totally sure, I feel like the reasons for TPing back here are to either hold a freeze (he decided to push anyway) or maybe just so he doesn't lose a couple creeps of xp? It could also be that he just doesn't want to give Vex a cannon wave of priority to do something, but Vex before 6 isn't that good at roaming. So yeah honestly not totally sure on his reasoning but I don't think it makes much of a difference either way, since you can't TP to other lanes very easily now and Orianna will always be able to choose her base timing vs Vex it's rare Ori will need to hold her TP to come back to lane anyway. 2. A few reasons, first off Lee Sin is much stronger than Kayn and he has the winning matchup mid so it's very dangerous for Kayn to make plays mid. Secondly he hugs his vision/jungler pretty well which means he can always walk to Lee if he does get ganked and then Kayn will have to walk away. Definitely something I want to cover in a guide!
@@ShokLeague in my opinion: 1. faker tp'd because he wanted to suffocate the vex further and just produce more agro mid in a macro sense. that will alleviate jungle pressure from other lanes as well it will further deny vex further cs (he had like 14 or something to faker's 30), at the same time faker doesn't miss out on 2 cs that would have died had he walked back. all that adds up. if he walked back, he'd have tp still sure but for what use? to pressure the vex and then have a cheater recall to come back full while vex is half. that type of advantage has diminishing returns since he has enough sustain with pot and tear to pressure until a major buy like blasting wand or boots for example. he has tier and corrupting put to keep him in lane for ever as well as flash up so he'll have no issue staying in lane while further denying cs, keeping exp, and drawing agro to mid, this leads me to ur second point. 2. kayne vex pre 6 really are not strong together during a gank. especially with boots to help dodge and flash up. so he can push up and draw agro mid if need be. with vision neutralizes the situation some more, and with flash can provide advantages to other lanes by just drawing agro mid, and if he uses it then ok now you change ur game a bit. but with all that considered, flash up, oriana's kit of movement speed/slow and shield corrupting pot he can survive and alleviate pressure, therefore allowing for him to stay pushed up and allowing for an agressive style that not only draws agro mid but pressures the vex and deny's cs.
denying cs early, while building cs is so strong especially early game when you can have first mythic before them. that's such a power spike. first completed item vs no completed item is an undermined power spike. especially in high elo, especially as ori, where ppl know to play for objectives; a situation oriana excels in.
@@ShokLeague Okay so the reasoning I had so far is that early on I have prio, but soon enough I get outranged and her Q cd just becomes too short to try and trade. That, and the fact that as soon as she hits 6 I'm in danger of being one shot if I miss my step.
@@Barde_Jaune I don't think you should ever feel outranged, she might get to a point where she can just afk waveclear but unless you fall behind you should always be able to move around and avoid any Vex Qs. If you do hit 6 even with Vex then yeah it's tough, but you should be able to build a lead pretty consistently.
@@ShokLeague I'll do my best and I'll come back to you after I've experimented with that idea a bit more ;) Thanks for your time and advice, really appreciated!

Probably not for a bit, I have a couple other champions I want to do first but you might wanna check out one of LegitKorea's guides since he probably makes the most Ahri content of anyone.
If you are vs a level 2 ganker or you just are scared of level 2 ganks you can just ward at like 1:25 and then hug that side of the lane and you should be completely safe.
Hey Shok I have a question it's a bit off topic for this video but this was the most recent post so yeah. Do you think it's worth for me to put in my effort toward Syndra or another poke champ like Viktor? Everywhere I just see people recommending everyone to stay away from Syndra but when I look at your MU charts you actually believe she does pretty well into a majority of the mid laners. So I thought I'd ask you directly is she worth the effort currently?
Syndra is a good champion to have in your pool imo. She's a very good counter to basically all mage champions and she's a decent blind pick because of her strong lane phase. She is hard to play though, and there are definitely more broken champions so it's kinda up to you.
I have a huge problem when winning lane. Even with the wave in the middle of the wave i get ganked by the enemy jungler and i die. What should i do? Champs like vi with ahri mid can just dive me while i play mid if i play something like yas even when i win the lane
There's a few things, obviously you can keep the wave closer to tower. Placing wards in better positions might help/having a pink ward. It might also be that you are playing aggressive at the wrong times for example if you jungler is ganking top lane, the enemy jungler knows there is no chance of countergank mid so if you play aggressive at that time you may die. You might also be hugging the wrong side of the lane? Try stay close to your vision/away from the enemy jungler if know which side they are on.
Some things like the wave control probably can, but I think trading is fundamentally pretty different in the other lanes. Bot lane all ins are much stronger because there are 2 people so cooldowns are typically punished by engaging rather than poking/chipping people down and top lane is more about extended trades. Some bot lane matchups and ranged vs ranged top matchups are probably similar to this video though.
late game is all about playing for objectives and teamfights. with that being said that's orianna's strength. you HAVE to cater your game to putting ur ball in the right spot. that's obvious but you really have to embrace that ideology; whether that means shielding a teamate because he's closer to the enemies and u can flash q for a surprised ult. or manually positioning the ball with q to zone. also use movement speed to provide tempo and make plays, shield W teamates so they can move fast and engage, spam w on ur self and create tempo and move around the map that way.
I can confidently say that you have the best midlane guides in youtube, I can't believe this is free

In your defense, if you do make a big mistake the lane can become very hard

Amazing guide! Any champs you recommend for first picking? Or champs that you think that is good for solo q?
Best solo q blind at the moment is probably Ahri, and she's also reasonably easy to play. Vex is also really good atm but not as blindable imo.
