I was nervous to start my project too soon but I think I'll start it earlier next year. I'm still waiting for my first mow. It's coming in nicely but there's some patches that need help
I skipped top dressing this year to see if there would be any adverse effects and as far as I know I don't see any. I will most likely topdress with compost next year to add nutrients to the soil
I just completed a 300sl sq ft renovation on my neighbors yard and have now begin to take my height of cut down I will probably go from 4" to 2.5 cutting every 3 days then hit it with the sunjoe and drop seed and fert. Your lawn always looks good keep up the good work
Where are you located? I thought i was kind of late to the party starting this project the first day of fall. Hopefully your temperature stays high enough that you won't have issues with frost. Let me know how it goes!

Nice job, the only thing I did as well was to top dress the lawn after laying down the seed.

@@TheMoreYouMOW I'm in Virginia I do all my seeding in Oct each year and have never had problems. Our weather is crazy.
@johnnelwhite lol that part of the country is pretty unpredictable. You have to dress for every season everyday like we do 😆 🤣

Wow, never seen tall fescue cut down that low. Talk about a scalp. But you are over seeding it will come back.
Yup took it as far down as I could. Most of it came back on its own but the overseed definitely helped.
