No.. for me it’s more practical, the last 1300 the skidplate was curdled arround the exhaust and the bars where dented into the cilinderhead. So weight is not so relevant… sparkplug is a good question.. will find out
now here is my thoughts so please disregard 😂..i have crash bars on my 1300 gs ultimately for low speed drops ..but i do worry about engine protection/crash bars(on any bike by the way) if they do not bend during a drop/crash they are transferring the energy into the mounting points whether it is the frame or engine, which could cause significantly more damage if you bend the frame or crack the engine casing . they do look ace by the way
I’m not from the R en D department at outback! But what I noticed is that there are more attachment points and they are connected to each other so the forces get divided..
Follow this men! Great work Brother. Cheers from germany 💪🦅
beautiful, just beautiful. simple, clean and strong. my vibes! suggest this protect more than the factory one?

@@Trophy_Peetyes that is a good point
What about the weight?
Hi Thomas,
The bars are 7 KG, and the skid plate is 4.5 KG
No big deal because it's below centerpoint
