Well, not really, just like all cutting edge goods, it is being supplanted by newer generation helicopters, but with the development of the basic Apache and upgrades it will probably be a front line helicopter probably for a further 20-30 years:)
I don't understand that LTC. he says you can cross a river but any wise general wouldn't do so as it's just to dangerous to cross a river without any support, one SAM and you lost a very valuable helicopter.
How do they sync a laser guided missile to the projected laser? Is it just a specific frequency? Otherwise I don't see why an enemy couldn't just strip the lasers off a laser targeting pod and then use that as a decoy to throw off any missiles aimed at them.
Operation Valkyrie shit I made a mistake, my bad 😫 the hellfire doesn't lock onto lasers. I'm pretty sure there's an optical sensor at the front of the laser guided missiles though. but the hellfire is black magic sorcery to me 😞 idk what manner of wizardry makes them work...

ka 52 is superior,ka 50 has stronger armor and ejection system (which only russian helos have) but less ammo and not that great accuracy as AH longbow has.Ka 52 is the ultimate and best helicpoter ever

The frequency is adjustable and is changed regularly to avoid such a situation.
Why no Mil Mi 28 or Kamov Ka50 they are very iconic and interesting designs.
