There's definitely an opportunity for rationalisation of armoured tracked and wheeled vehicles, in a similar way to the three f-35 variants. There are just to many variants performing such specific tasks cost of buying all these variants and maintain I them is too high.. I'm not suggesting we limit to three variants, I'm suggesting there is an opportunity to reduce the total number of variants to a more cost effective number of variants with maybe 20-30% commonality
Patria is maybe the best in it´s class as it features excellent protection(whithstands RPG´s and 10kg at mine), it has probably the largest weapon variety in the world and is reliable. Its cost is also acceptable for many many countries.
Not to mention, backed up by the most developed logistical and supply support system in the world! In the measure of all things, it is American logistics and transport mobility capabilities that give even an outclassed American machine of war the edge! Just ask the French who are depending upon US logistics to intervene in Mali right now. When you need to ship troops, supplies and heavy war machines to the front, you don't call FedEx or UPS, you call the US Armed Forces.
It is built to be very versatile with many variants. That what it's built for. You could be somewhat biased here, as a finish guy yourself. But the Stryker has gotten alot of reviews from the actual field here, and even Russian analyst Vasiliy Fofanov is extremely positive to the vehicle. I have a much better impression of the Stryker than the other vehicles you mention :j
Truth is? Well I am reading reports from the midle east that it has very good survivability. The intervjued guy's Stryker took 7 rpg' easy, and just kept going. Nobody inside was harmed. And have you seen the pictures?? :p The 16 tonnes vehicle was blown OVER by a ied on the road! But everybody inside were totally alright.
Haha! of course I am slightly biased. Patria AMV is a Finnish product and as a Finn I like it very much. Yet. Truth is that Stryker´s protection is pretty bad. 14.5mm bullets can penetrate it with ease. and RPG goes right trough its armor. Stryker´s only defence against RPGs is the cage which offers only 50% chance of stopping RPG. Stryker is also too heavy for its suspension. It needs much expensive maintenance and its wheels need to be changed too often. Other vehicles are just more effecient.
Oh, I´ve seen lots of pictures of destroyed or damaged Strykers. There are many different IED´s. Others may just flip the vehicle, whereas others may totally ionize it. Depends on many factors. When it comes to RPG´s. Stryker isn´t "RPG proof", but with good luck the incident you described may happen. It´s still more likely that RPG destroys the Stryker. Anyways. You always will have an reply for my reply and so this discussion never ends. This is more like a matter of opinion, so goodbye.
Patria is significantly better than Stryker, but if that is your opinion you are free to think so. I advise you to watch "The real stryker" and "dare to compare" videos. they might open your view.
Stryker´s dominance in war on wheels has already been denied. Many wheeled vehicles are better than Stryker. Vehicles like KMW Boxer and Patria AMV along with BTR-90 are the top wheeled combat vehicles today. Stryker was a fail in many categories.

most of these seems to have an indipendent suspension rather than live axles which is awesome for such a heavy vehicle
Imagine fitting a 155mm on the back of your 4 ton flatbed truck lol
They should bring back the Flak 39, a 105mm high velocity gun that performed decently.

01:22 Polish soldiers standing in front of AFV captured during Post-Soviet war in 3rd Salesian uprising.
And they look better to, at least the Patria AMV does.

was'nt all the modern vechicles have a really good armor and they can only mostly destroyed easily by airstrike only if they do not miss
Good job me

Stryker is too versatile. It can do so many duties that it can´t do anything well. Everything that Stryker can do, m113 Gavin can do better.
Sorry, what?? :p
