A Marvelous, Majestic Performance - BRAVO!!! Let's hope they get their shot at the Rose Parade - they surely deserve it! St Ursula Eichi are definitely in the Top Rank of Japanese High School Bands!
These young people are incredibly talented. If they don't go to University it will be a shame. I was deeply moved by their rendition of the 1812 Overture. It seems that Japan's children are gifted with musical talent well beyond their years.
This school was supposed to or was invited to be in the 2021 Rose Parade in Pasadena , California. Due to the global pandemic they were denied. I hope that St. Ursula Eichi High School band gets another chance for this event . Also Great performance here.

Sensational. What a performance and superb quality. Fabulous horns with a geat sound all round and topped off with the 2 ladys who got the tubular bells ringing in tandem perfectly. Well done.

The performance I saw was in 1964. That was NOT when William Shakespeare was born, and I was IN a boat, not near it. 指揮者の考え方なのかな？妙に全体的に音が切れすぎているように感じました。その為にメロディがブツ切れでつながりが悪く聞こえます。ブラスバンド特有といえばそれまででですが以前、私がこの曲を演奏したときの指揮者はもっと音をつなげるようによく言われていました。各個人の演奏自体のレベルは高く感じました。
