Best, most informative video on guitar repair. Lots of background info. LOTS OF BACKGROUND NOISE TOO! (yes I shouted ).
The rest of you guys get out of there when he’s talking! He’s got talent in more areas than just repair. Go with it!

I may be wrong about this but, this particular guitar also looks to me like it has been refinished by someone who did a very nice job. I am looking for videos because I want to learn as much as I can so that I will be confident when I restore my own 1963 00-18 Martin. Mine lived w/o a case for the 1st 30 years of its life & has had a case for the last 30 years of its life. It came from my Grandfather>Father>Me.
It has dings & dents & some small cracks. I actually love those because I know that they come from my Grandfather>Father>Me. I have a couple of spots where the finish has worn away completely & I want to protect that wood. The guitar needs new frets of which I can do just fine. I'm only really worried about protecting the wood & learning how to properly do this myself.

Was the saddle glued in originally on a 1963 00-18 Martin guitar?

Great video. Is there anyway to remove a bridge without using heat? Thanks for sharing your video.

How expensive is it to replace a bridge with an original one for a 1955 Martin D 18?

You need to heat that blade on an iron buddy. It will then cut through the bridge glue like butter. You make simple job look hard. Lucky you didn't puncture the soundboard with all that effort. A simple domestic iron will allow you to heat the blade every couple of minutes.

Thanks for an informative video. Is your 140 degees Farenheit or centigrade.

Since he's using water to heat the spatulas, it must be 140 degrees Fahrenheit. If it was 140 degrees centigrade, it would instead be steam.
