Thanks for sharing this. Ive been using bleach for my projects but this is so much better especially when it comes to black shirts. The orange color from bleach is ok but not really my preference. Cool technique. Again Thanx
Thanks for the note. Agree completely. Been there done that with bleach many years ago till I discovered this stuff. Very difficult to make sharp edges on designs with bleach, and it breaks down the fibers of the fabric. Best of luck on your projects!
Yes! And recommend: 1) put on the middle of the vinyl setting for cutting, 2) shiny/waxy side down, and 3) pull off slowly as freezer paper may rip on narrow sections. sometimes I will use weeder tool just to make sure no rips, ie., if doing small letters or such. Hope that helps!
@paulkartsyart4415 thanks for the info!! I've had a jar of decolourant sitting around and this inspired me so try it out because this method with the freezer paper seems so approachable. My cricut has just been sitting around collecting dust.
The Cricut sure makes it a lot easier to cut out the more advanced designs for this process. Good luck with your projects. You are limited only by your imagination, which wonderfully enough has no limitations. Cheers!
Bleach breaks down the fabric to remove the color, which often results in little holes in the shirt. It is also too thin to control, like water, and it goes under the edges of the wax paper, so very hard to get any sharp edges on the design. It’s what I originally used many years ago with only minimal success. Eventually, my frequent scouring of art catalogs to look for just such a product finally paid off. Thanks for the comment! Good luck on your projects.
opening a whole new chapter for me
This is definitely an underrated video! Thanks for your work!
Thanks Taylor! Greatly appreciate your comment. It’s a great product that few people use, or even know about.
good stuff.
Thanks!
Love it!! Jacquard should put this on their site -- this freezer paper method is so much more accessible and approachable than using a screen!
Thanks Gordon! You’re right, this is one of the easiest ways to put your own designs on a shirt, and only minimal supplies needed.

Super awesome!!! Glad to finally see the process behind those awesome shirts. LOVE both designs 😊👏
Do you use the freezer paper with your cricut right on the cutting mat??

Why not just use bleach?
