I have to tell you just how awesome you are. I just retired from one FT job. The next adventure was going to learn how to make jewelry to sell to eliminate my second self employment. my office cleaning business. I needed to do something I love to do and it be something portable, so we can travel throughout the US. This was the first tutorial that I enjoyed and was able to get started with great results. You putting this together has started me working on life part II. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will also be my first channel to join.

Wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much for sharing all of these designs. It really inspires me. Also thank you for the links to supplies, as trying to get quality jump rings in the right gage and I.d. has been super challenging. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do more chain mail tutorials. Your instruction and camera work is so clear. A progression of weaves from the most simple to increasing skill levels would be awesome. Thank you again for being your precious self and sharing!

I've gotten into jewelry making during covid too and you are one of the best, most engaging to watch and learn from, creators here!! I'm so excited to delve into a new medium with chain mail that I paused this video to go to the chain mail Joe site and I'm about to bite the bullet and order the big starter kit with all the different size rings and the instruction book!

Hi Yvonne! I love these earrings. I’d love to learn more of this type of jewelry. It’s the first time I’ve seen stuff made with just rings. I’m interested in making chains like you spoke about. I’ve never soldered before either. I’d love to learn how to do that as well so I can put other colours together. You’re so talented!! I’m so excited to see what you do next. Thank you so very much!! I hope you’re staying safe and take care of each other. Sincerely Susan 💝🥰🤗

Great video, as always! You're an awesome teacher. So nice of you to provide extra tips & info that most don't take the time to do... Helpful for beginners yet not condescending in the least bit.😊 (As an elementary school teacher I understand the value of that. You have to think beyond your own perspective. THANK YOU!❤️
Re 37:53... Lol! The whole time I was wondering why the j. rings weren't in mm, like everything else in the jewelry world. Is that normal, or just that particular company? I was creating during the vid & had my rulers out comparing, lol.😰😂
One Q: Aluminum is such a soft metal. Easier on the hands, but are Al jump rings sturdy enough for necklace & bracelet ends & clasps? While making these earring designs (w/ SLP & GLP brass), I found that even 4mm rings weren't secure enough for the top (where ear wires attach) unless 18-19g. Yours don't seem as flimsy despite the metal. If so, I'd love to try aluminum. Yours looks nice.

On the chance this would still help you, or anyone else: Look into byzantine chains. I think they look great on all folks of any gender presentation. Maybe you could make swatches of any chain you are proficient in making and let the recipient choose which one? i better write that idea down for myself in my creative journal before I forget .... =)

Great teaching video. But after watching several vids, I must insist you be nicer to yourself. Moving things off camera does not make you a monster as an example of what I mean. You do lovely work and should not degrade your skills as they are very good overall.

This is chainmaille. Chainmaille is is typically armor or jewelry made by connecting metal rings to one another. This is jewelry made by connecting metal rings to one another. Take your trolling someplace else, please.

If you go to the M.A.I.L Website, Maille Artisans International League, you would see that the Mobius Flower is listed in their huge database of Chainmaille Weaves. So, I will take their word for it rather than yours.

🤔 Ok, sir. I say that if you are going to go and be an ass, at least use correct grammar and spelling. Punctuation lessons are clearly in order, and while I won’t correct your mangling of a well known idiom, lets just make the obvious more, well; OBVIOUS. Don’t, won’t, ago*. What, specifically, are you a “Doctor” of?
