    I have been making chain maille but I have been making it from books. It's pretty difficult learning it that way. I am so grateful to you for showing all of us how to do it. Much easier to learn when someone is showing you as compared to looking at stiff pictures. I have learned some from the books but have had to take things back apart till I got it right. Thank you so much for sharing. I love the community of people willing to share what they know to others. It has made the world better for it. Thanks again.

    O M G - The moment the video started, your eyes had me locked. As a designer, I have literally watched 1000's of jewelry tutorials/videos, (I've recorded numerous, but am not brave enough to post). However, never has someone kept me so engaged. Beautiful design and so well demonstrated. Thank you!

    I began my wirework sojourn 11 months ago and primarily do weaving but really love the look of chain maille. As soon as I buy jump rings (or, haha, figure out a good way to make my own), I think this will be my very 1st chain mailled project. I know the chain itself will be absolutely fantastic for my wire-woven pendants - thank you!

    I love this barrel weave. ❤️❤️❤️ I actually made this the other day after watching your tutorial; HOWEVER, I found it easier to make a chain of 1-2-1-2-1... links, etc., to the desired length. I then went back and added the 2 barrel rings to the 2-ring segments. It was soooooo much easier because I had a full chain to hold onto whilst adding the 2 rings around the 2-ring segment. I experienced a disaster with the connect all as you go method but that's just me and my poor dexterity. I still very much appreciate your video because I'm not sure I would have attempted it had I not seen it. Thanks so much! Have a beautiful day!🙂

    Very good tutorial! 👍 I'm always watching Chainmaille tutorials and never make any chains but I may actually try to make this bracelet using some 18ga copper wire I have on hand. Of course, I'd need to use the same 3.5 aspect ratio as you have done.... IF I can manage working with tiny jump rings. It's really pretty. ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for sharing! 🙂

    I’m trying this pattern as my first project. Except for marring a couple rings, I’m doing ok. I need to get more strength in my hands to be able to close the rings better.

    • @AussieMaillers
      @AussieMaillers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Marring a couple of rings when first starting is to be expected, I still do it now occasionally when a ring slips. Practice makes progress so keep going.

      Yes, a magnifier helps. As for a particular one. The one behind me actually came from ALDI supermarket and I have had no issues with it. Generally you can find them in electronic stores like Jaycar or maybe craft places like Spotlight. Deb

    Hello Deb. I am making this beautiful bracelet but I am having the hardest time doing the Reverse Tao Flower. When pushing up the first of the two rings it doesn't go through the open ring. It looks like if the open ring was bigger than the other ring. I am using 20g 4.5 mm ID rings. I tried so many times but I don't know what could I be doing wrong. When you do it looks so easy. I guess my charm bracelet won't have any reverse tao flower. Thank you for the tutorial and have a great day.

    • @AussieMaillers
      @AussieMaillers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Magda if you have never done one before trying in such a small gauge mightn't be the best place to start. Try 1.2mm x 7.00mmID to make up the reverse tao flower as a practice piece. Deb
