    • @askhowtube
      @askhowtube  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, depends , if there’s another floor on top, you don’t need, if it’s a roof which is not properly insulated and you want a warmer room, I recommend you insulate it, but soon as there’s already a ceiling, you don’t really have to…it’s entirely up to you.

    • @askhowtube
      @askhowtube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi I am pleased this video helps… about your question… at the ceiling minimum I will recommend is 400mm from centre to centre of timbers… so walls you can go with 600mm gap from centre to centre, and ceiling 400mm , like this is stronger, but also if you measure properly, every forth timber would be exactly the width of a 1200 mm plasterboard sheet. Good luck. 😁

    Hi, I have a question about connection electric cables for example when I want to lowered ceiling plus I want to connect wires from the one main ceiling cable to the more cables in a room for the spot lights and the question is, if I need any permision or certificate from a qualifited electritionist on the end when I will finished the cables, or I can't touch the electric cables and the electric job have to do electrtionist? Thanks 👍

    • @askhowtube
      @askhowtube  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thanks for watching… you do not need an authorised electrician to install new spotlights, but if you don’t know how to do it and if you’re not used to do yourself some small works around the house( especially electricity), I recommend you hire an electrician to do the job for you. Goodluck.😁

    • @danjason2167
      @danjason2167 ปีที่แล้ว

      you should really have an electrician do it. for example the job done here you see single conductor cables outside of an enclosure in Wago connectors which is against regulations. 5.4 Non-sheathed cables protected by enclosure in conduit, Trunking or ducting (521.10.1)
      5.17 Termination of cables at enclosures - identify numbers and locations of items inspected (section D 526):
      connections of live conductors adequately enclosed (526.5) also the cables are not really supported sufficiently and wouldn't satisfy ,5.2 Cables correctly supported throughout their run, on an EICR. its a minor thing but the regulations are there for a reason. also i wouldn't have been to happy if the batten was screwed down on the cable hard as it can cause a short circuit, you get around this by a small chase in the wall or notching out the wood. hope this helps. other wise the timer and plaster work looks good.

    • @askhowtube
      @askhowtube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for watching… yes down lights must be installed after plastering is done, but the holes and wires must be done before plastering…then after plastering is done, lights can be installed…even better to install them after painting, but if you need the lights earlier, of course you can paint with the lights installed…Goodluck…
