Whether or not it’s intentional or not, you create this sense of melancholic nostalgia in your videos - as a viewer out of context, I’m seriously drawn in by the mood you create in which you present your work. Really, really impressive. I thoroughly enjoy your videos with the GR. Incredible piece of kit. I don’t think there’s really anything quite like it!
Hey Adrien, your visuals are always so calming and pleasing to the eyes. I wanted you to know that you've rekindled my love for photography. I purchased a GR3 about 3 years ago but it's only recently that I have started to stretch its capabilities. I always thought the pictures out of it were too wide for my taste and like yourself, I was considering getting something a bit tighter. your video "RICOH GRIII To Improve In Photography" could not have appeared at a better time for me. Something finally clicked for me and now I take the GR3 every time I leave the house now, even for mundane stuff like grocery shopping. All the best, Tom
Just found out about your channel few minutes ago, already a fan. I am a beginner at photography and videos like this really inspire me. Keep it up! :)
I'm always intrigued by the way your 3 exposure parameters continuously change from picture to picture. Shows I'm not a "real" photographer as I almost never change anything on my LX7. Mind you, I find that iA is cleverer than I am. 😊 I like your presets. They tend to be much more vibrant than most others who promote theirs. I don't have LR. Do have an old version of PS but never use it. Photoscape may be super basic but is good for small tweaks.
Nice 👍🏻. I just got back last week from a 4 day trip to Tokyo, my first time.😊 Tired after a 3 week trip to the US, and a bit in shock at the amount of people - had to visit Shibuya, walked for 5 hours taking pictures. Then the obvious places as a tourist, Ginza, up the tower, Akihabara where I played with the GR but I don't think it's better than my tiny M4/3rds for my needs. Lots of "souvenir" shots, but also some that I'm very happy with 😊. I'll be back for a longer trip very soon 👍🏻.
Amazing video again, never stop. Inspiring me to shoot for the whole summer. I got videos coming myself. You're to blame. You also maybe my favourite photographer.
Hi! Very cool video 😊 Two questions: - I have a Samsung S23U, do you think this camera is a good option? - Are your photos edited? Which software did you use in that case? Thank you so much!
Great video as always Adrien - very relaxing! Was wondering if you crop much. I know you’re using the 28mm equivalent lens, but looks a bit tighter sometimes.
I really love your work Adrien! Always a source of inspiration! What process do you use to work on your pictures? Do you shoot RAW? What software do you use? Thank you for your videos :)
I find a wide angle so hard to isolate subjects. The typical guy walking down the street shot has so much unwanted background (visual noise). Some shots were cropped?
I love your videos man, just wondering whether these photos are straight from the camera or edited? I want to upgrade my gear but I'm not sure about that yet
Hey, love your video’s and your images are amazing. I notice you own a Sony full frame also Fuji and Ricoh. I have a Sony A7R5 and am looking at getting a second camera, been looking at getting a Fuji but because I have invested in multiple Sony lenses I’m finding it hard to justify not getting another Sony like the A7C11 for street photography but have FOMO about the Fuji images that everyone raves about, but I noticed even your Sony shots have that same feel, do you have any advice for me?
I would suggest you to stick with Sony. You can totally get amazing colors with Sony cameras and it makes more sense since you have already some Sony lens. But if you want a second camera just to have fun maybe go for the Ricoh. It really gives another experience with the truly pocketable factor. Fuji cameras are great but it doesn't offer you something you don't have with the Sony system
Good camera but it has a nasty bug that won't allow you to write to your card after a day passes. Can't even do in camera edits anymore because it too.
I want to be able to use the snap priority mode mode, but I keep predicting the wrong distances. I've been trying to practice, but do you have any tips? do you still mess up the distance often?
The final shot with the skytree is so good, you can see the stars even with all that light :0 Did you use a tripod for the video shots? They don't move at all! Amazing work as always, Adrien 👏👏👏
I loved having a new video from Ricoh, this focus mode does everything automatically and you just press the button with the distance settings that the camera creates? A video about the details of this operation and with examples of how you execute them and how the camera reacts would be great Thank you !❤
Difficult to say. The GR really offers a different shooting experience. The fuji is a bit more like shooting with my sony but it’s a bit smaller and lighter
Ah man I miss Tokyo. Pick an area, walk around all day breaking for meals and rest, capturing clips and photos all the while. Next day, pick a different area, repeat.
I always wonder what people will do with the pictures that they took. Those are just random people walking and without artistic value. Can you sell those photos?
its just like going on a vacation. Are u making money when u go on a vacation?, well, some people do. but my point is this is what u call enjoying life at its fullest. some people just enjoy taking pictures 😊😊
@@arwennstory9737 To me, it is a waste of valuable time to just snapping useless pictures that we cannot do anything with those pictures, especially street photography. Most people just snap ugly pictures that have no artistic merrit. If we can sell the photos, it is ok. It is better to just relax enjoy the vacation. Landscape photography is different, we can display the result at our house/office or even give to friends.

Happy to hear that :) thanks for your comment
Looking forward to this Tokyo series! I enjoyed this one a lot; Tokyo is like a playground for photographers.
exactly: no matter what camera you have, you will get great shots in Japan!
You're getting good at the "drive-by shootings" which the Ricoh seems perfect for.. walking past people and shooting them without them realising
Keep this up! Love the little comments and tips over the video to better understand the thought process and the shot.
Thanks, well noted :)
I’ve always wanted to visit Tokyo. Great photos, I appreciate the captions as it gives insight to your thought process at the time.
Thanks! Hope you can come one day, Tokyo is a very nice place to shoot 📸😃
Having coffee while enjoying this ❤ lo e background music as well
So glad!
Nice video and photography, really enjoyed the photos, super like988, wonderful sharing my friend 👍👍
Many thanks
I’ve been in Tokyo for a month now and golden hour right before sunset is a photographer’s dream. So many nice shots and lighting.
i like how your photo framing still so good despite how fast you lift the camera and take the photo before pointing it back down
Just love the scene and music 4:32 so nice
beautiful work! I celebrated my 18th birthday in tokyo and now I'm 32... brings back lovely memories
Glad you enjoyed it!
Que canal inspirador , muito feliz de ver tamanha arte e beleza em suas fotografias , parabéns!!!
Really enjoyed the video and you took some lovely photos. The GR served you well.
Many thanks!
Great video and enjoyed you sharing your thoughts on compositing each shot. Did you use a preset film emulation or your own settings?
What a calming video, some beautiful shots! I would love to know more about the recipe, or do you edit a lot in post? Xx
Des vidéos toujours très intéressantes et relaxantes, merci Adrien !

@@adriensanguinetti if I can persuade my wife to wander even further 😉 or I'll have to go out alone.😁

What a lovely street photo. Please help to do some VDO to share idea how to do grading picture like yours. Thanks in advance.

This was beautiful. As always.

- Are your photos edited? Which software did you use in that case?
Thank you so much!
There is a sort of glow in your pictures that I love. Is that clarity setting?
Yes I always use negative clarity when editing my pictures ;)
@@adriensanguinetti they look awesome. Thanks for answering!
Great video as always Adrien - very relaxing! Was wondering if you crop much. I know you’re using the 28mm equivalent lens, but looks a bit tighter sometimes.
Sometimes I crop yes, I think there is nothing bad with it and there is enough pixels to do so ;)
Adrien my goat back with another banger and the production value goin up every time 🗣 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!!
Adrien, are you using a tripod for the static shots? the footage looks really stable
I really love your work Adrien! Always a source of inspiration! What process do you use to work on your pictures? Do you shoot RAW? What software do you use? Thank you for your videos :)

Great works!
GR fans here🎉
Another great work! More Tokyo series please. I would love to go back there and shoot street.
May I know which preset did you use for this video? I just bougt your v1 preset 😊
I use Sakai from my v2 pack but Shikoku from v1 should get you pretty close to that :)
Hi, Adrien. What GoPro mounts are you using? Is it a shoulder clip, a chest strap thing, or...?
Hi Adrien, did you use the GR iii for the video footage as well? It was really nice
Also, I just clicked on your portfolio link and I got a certificate error... Accepting the warning message, the site seems to be down.
What preset do you use? Was it from your video about film simulation, Your tone is so gorgeous. Now I want this camera so bad.
I sure hope you’re not doing some secret event with Ricoh to promote the gr4 because I just bought the gr3! Great video
Nothing about the gr4 haha ;)
meditating.
I love your videos man, just wondering whether these photos are straight from the camera or edited? I want to upgrade my gear but I'm not sure about that yet
Thanks! All edited with my presets ;)

Thanks! No I add stabilization in post production, it does not always work but sometimes you can almost get tripod like result
@@adriensanguinetti Wow, it really does look like a tripod shot.
Thats it, im buying a griii

Haha appreciate that

Thanks for your comment, a video explaining the settings is already on the channel ;)
was the video filmed on the ricoh? :)
No haha, the Ricoh is very bad at video. I shot the video part with my Sony A7IV
Should have bought this camera instead of the X100V...
so betwen fujifilm xe 4 and ricoh gr iii, which one you prefer?

is this JPEG or Raw with Post edit? thanks
