I played drums as a kid, we used to cover Nirvana songs. I joined the army at 16 and never played the drums again, sold them. I watched the Taylor Hawkins tribute gig from Wembley on TV. Next day, I went into Glasgow (I'm Scottish) and spent £7.500 on a brand new Pearl drum kit. Thank you Dave Grohl, and thanks to Taylor, you reinspired me again man. God bless you.
Do your thing woman I'm glad you went to rehab and I hope you had a whole lot of fun and got your s*** together and your life as we doing wonderful do your thing
Was sad and in recovery. This song gives me power. Everytime I hear it. Gives me hope and strength. Sit in a rehab and here this song. Crazy wonderful to this girl.
Crying my eyes out watching this. It was our time. It was so beautiful. I can only hope the generations that come behind us have something so powerful, so awesome, so real to experience. It's all about sharing ... love, joy, giving.
The Generations to come WILL have awesome, powerful music to listen to. My 10 year old niece is a HUGE Foo Fighters fan, I've even got her playing the drums. Good music will never die as long as people listen to it.
I love Dave he twiddles on his guitar and gives stories into his life I could listen to that for hours he doesn’t even have to jam, man he’s just great!
I'm a video tech and was blessed to have toured with these guys in '18. They are fantastic musicians and they absolutely love to perform. All stadium shows. No warm up or opening act. Just the Foo Fighters playing rock and roll for three and a half hours. I am sure they miss touring as we all do. Here's to David and all the guys who pour their heart and soul out on stage for our enjoyment. We can't wait to see you again. Live, with a rabid crowd and a full rig
Just such a great human being, and I just hope he knows the tears coming out of my face and the shaking I get listening to his music is joy and not pain. Thank you God for such an inspiration. Love his music so much
During the lockdown in 2020, I spent the nights, dark to dawn, watching music videos, often just wherever TH-cam took me. Often the classic rock that evokes the memories and has been most of life’s soundtrack. I was raising kids when Nirvana dropped, and while I was aware of them the music didn’t resonate with me then. It does today. When Kurt died, and Foo Fighters were born, my kids were old enough that Foo Fighters was prominent in their playlists. Again, at first, Foo Fighters didn’t resonate. But then American Pie and East Great Falls landed in our home, and suddenly Times Like These clicked. And I started listening to Foo Fighters with the kids. And some others, too, but these guys, as musicians, and performers and artists, have gotten into my blood. So back to the lockdown. I found this video one night and fell in love with it. I’ve been to a lot of concerts, love the crowd energy, and I don’t know how many people were in the largest concert audience I was ever in, but it wasn’t anywhere near the number that’s in this video, and I had those moments when I wondered: will we ever see that again? I got a lot of energy, a lot of hope, and lived many good memories watching this video then. And it’s almost two years later, I’ve gone back to it a few times. I love watching Dave play to the crowd, but I really love watching Taylor on the drum kit. Energy, emotion, impeccable timing and beat, and he shows he’s having a blast. I look for him in every Foo Fighters video, and listen for him in every song. I’ve seen many fantastic, iconic drummers play, and I know millions of other folks have also seen and heard fantastic drummers. And I won’t say Taylor was the GOAT, I’m not qualified to judge that. But I do say, nobody I ever saw or heard was more fun to watch and hear than Taylor, and I’m stunningly sad I never got to experience his art in person. Today, Taylor Hawkins l, I thank you, and my hat is off to you.

Foo Fighters everytime blows my mind everytime I hear them I rev up for a whole day of passion and soul searching music has always captured my mind and staying true to my up bringing ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊!!!!
Hip Chick - you don’t need that in life, just being right here right now in this era of time when these bands and songs existed is more then what most people got in life. Be so happy.
Noel Gallagher was once asked, what is the most thrilling moment of being famous, and he replied, When a stadium full of fans, sings lyrics that you have written. Fact.
The best surprise gift my wife ever gave to me was a pair of tickets for us to see Foo Fighters together. It was a phenomenal show and a great excuse to enjoy a weekend in the Smoky Mountains!
I was 17 when I went to Reading in 2012. It was a fantastic weekend with some crazy talented bands, because Glasto wasn’t on that year so the likes of the Cure, Kasabian, Coheed, The Black Keys, Paramore and all sorts were there. This set however, last band on the Sunday night, main stage. Wow, this blew me away. This song though, to this day, this song that we’re all watching right now, has stayed with me since. After the show, people were chanting Foo tunes as we made our way back to the campsite. I’ve had ups and downs since, but I come back here once in a while and remind myself that this is what life is all about. Friends, music and a good fucking time. I’ll never forget it.
Met Dave twice. Once in 1992 just as Nirvana was going platinum around the world. The as Foo Fighters toured with Sonic Youth in 1996. Both times, he was pretty much this guy - genuine in spirit, welcoming, appreciative and for a person who could be swallowed by the "rockness of his stardom" (sarcasm), he was extraordinarily real and humble. He's really come into his own person now... confident and mellow and I'm happy he's where he is now. Would be amazing to meet him again. So adorable that he tours with his family. Made me teary watching this!
hes cool but it would have been cooler if he had stepped up and did something about Kurts murder. at least .... something! he just gave up and gave in to Courtney Love who he actually talks to now. What a disgrace. Cheers.
Me too I just lost my mother and this popped up and I got so choked up and cried. I needed this song and I got hope to carry on. I love that you had a chance to meet him n yah he seems to be genuinely Awsome guy. Best wishes ty ....for posting this ✌🎶💞
On the whole I agree with your assertion, however. Tears are a response to deep emotional stimulus with the exception of irritants. Tears of joy or sadness. Music can bring people together but simultaneously cause annoyance in others. Church bells on a Sunday morning when recovering from a hangover. Curse those bloody bells! Or the muslim call to prayer; strangely hypnotic to the point of convincing the worshippers that killing other people, especially other muslims and everyone else is a good thing to do, coz God told 'em it's a good idea. Know what I do? open the fuckin' windows and play this... th-cam.com/video/IJ5DWUu-MlE/w-d-xo.html
It's a long story, but the juice is worth the squeeze, Dave Grohl & FOO FIGHTERS are the soundtrack to my life, I hope to see them live before I join the Great Majority, 49, SIR David Grohl.

Actually, the FooFighters are the best Band in activity, in the World!
You lucky bastard bet you look back and think times like these ❤🎶🎶
One question, did you ever have a counter in how many times Dave said fuck at a venue?
Rest well Taylor. You're already missed

Can't believe your 10 and have such good taste of music. I give your parents props for raising a good kid with good music.

I love musicians who actually take the time to interact with their audiences. Dave is the master.

But I do say, nobody I ever saw or heard was more fun to watch and hear than Taylor, and I’m stunningly sad I never got to experience his art in person.

His mother must of felt so special when the crowd sung her happy birthday. I love Dave Grohl.
There goes my hero...
And the acoustic becomes a roaring anthem in a second and it catches you off guard. What magic there is in melody!!!
Back when you could have groups and events. Ahh the good old days, we didn't now how good we had it.
We will do this again!
Ain't that the truth.
It's times like these that you realise a drummer really earns his/her crust. Fair play to Grohl for stepping up through the ranks too.
Reading Festival is brutal.
Thank you to the two guys who looked out for me in that crowd, near the rail, as I was on my own.
Foo's forever 🤘
Don't even try and count it's not funny
Can anyone hear me
Foo Fighters everytime blows my mind everytime I hear them I rev up for a whole day of passion and soul searching music has always captured my mind and staying true to my up bringing ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊!!!!
I can't imagine how awesome it has to be when that large of a crowd sings your song back to you.
Hip Chick goosebumps I would think!
I lose a reflection in the mirror if I sing
Hip Chick - you don’t need that in life, just being right here right now in this era of time when these bands and songs existed is more then what most people got in life. Be so happy.
I'd hope they all had mentos... Or it might smell a bit. :)
Noel Gallagher was once asked, what is the most thrilling moment of being famous, and he replied,
When a stadium full of fans, sings lyrics that you have written.
Fact.
My son and I have loved you from the very beginning.
The best surprise gift my wife ever gave to me was a pair of tickets for us to see Foo Fighters together. It was a phenomenal show and a great excuse to enjoy a weekend in the Smoky Mountains!
Snap - Same here. Adelaide Australia. Te-D were support. One of the best live gigs have been to....period
Mr Grohl certainly can hold an audience with ease .
Like you're chilling in his backyard with him! Eh? Every one of those 100K plus people at that festival. Rght? His back yard.
Dave Grohl is an absolute living legend, how can you not just love the bloke.
This song’s become the anthem of 2020 because of corona.
what about The Police - 'dont stand so close to me' ?
🤣you could say that fits the times now right....🇺🇸✌🎶
This is an important performance, the emotion he draws in that leads to the power of times like these is absolutely brilliant
God bless Tom, it's awesome in every way but I like to mix it up with some D Too "tribute" feels just right (f@£k yeah!!!! Lol)
Yo I was in that crowd too, it was pretty moving
The Foo Fighters, the only band i can think of with two world class drummers where one of the plays the guitar👍👍
Lee Mason so true. Amazing
Pure 💕
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for inspiring this 65-year-old lady down on her luck
Been reading the bio. Thank you Dave
Naz Black met them while living Soho 1990... he is the real deal. Man crush for sure....
Sonic youth i loved madona mix.. ciccone youth ..
hes cool but it would have been cooler if he had stepped up and did something about Kurts murder. at least .... something! he just gave up and gave in to Courtney Love who he actually talks to now. What a disgrace. Cheers.
Me too I just lost my mother and this popped up and I got so choked up and cried. I needed this song and I got hope to carry on. I love that you had a chance to meet him n yah he seems to be genuinely Awsome guy. Best wishes ty ....for posting this ✌🎶💞
@@8vedder3 you'll find that she didn't pull the trigger, and it's not his responsibility to fulfill your conspiracy theories.
It is times like these you learn to live again and love again great song thank you ❤🎉
Dave Grohl, not just One of the nicest guys in music, but One of the nicest people I have ever met full stop.
Wish i could hug my Mom one last Time. Miss her so much :-(. So much left undone.
tears rolling down my face, music's power to bring people together ❤
On the whole I agree with your assertion, however. Tears are a response to deep emotional stimulus with the exception of irritants.
Tears of joy or sadness. Music can bring people together but simultaneously cause annoyance in others. Church bells on a Sunday morning when recovering from a hangover. Curse those bloody bells! Or the muslim call to prayer; strangely hypnotic to the point of convincing the worshippers that killing other people, especially other muslims and everyone else is a good thing to do, coz God told 'em it's a good idea. Know what I do? open the fuckin' windows and play this...
