Three college friends got jobs in Wyoming after graduation, I have visited the state several times, it’s a big beautiful state. On one visit we did a day float trip, I forget what river, it was a scenic easy trip on a flowing but not deep or wide little river. There were 4 canoes, we rounded a bend and a baby Moose was directly in our path. Mama was on the bank and looked like she was 50 feet tall! I thought to myself this is it….then to add to my concern one of the guys who lived there quietly muttered “we’re dead.” Fortunately Baby Moose moved away towards Mama and when we quietly floated by she just glared at us. I hope you have no close encounters with any big animals, and I am really looking forward to your videos from beautiful Wyoming. Keep up the great work!

Try to get a permit for the Teton Crest Trail. You can ride the Ski Lift up at Teton Village, hike to Jenny Lake, then take the ferry across the lake. Check with rangers, there are people in town that will pick up your rig after you step off and drive it around to your end location.

I remember traveling to those places when I was a kid. I don't ever remember any fires ever. We traveled to Yellowstone National Park one year then the next Bryce Canyon. We went to Arizona, Washington, Utah, and never any fires. It seams things are changing.

That smoke is probably from our massive Bootleg fire here in Oregon …so sad. If you’re looking for an absolutely beautiful drive in Wyoming, start in Ten Sleep and head NE on hwy 16 towards Meadowlark Lake. That canyon drive is stunningly beautiful. There is also lots of dispersed camping up in the area. Enjoy your time in Wyoming.

As a Wyoming resident, I very very very highly recommend you use frame mounts to secure that camper to your truck. We had a bed camper with a pop-up roof, so it was pretty low profile. The cross wind on I-25 ripped it right out of the truck, and tried to take the bed with it.

We just crossed paths again; this time in Park CIty. I could have left a cookie for you to pick up at the bakery in Midway and it would still be fresh! By the way, summer smoke is the old normal - it hasn't changed. It is all about fire and forest ecology and not the hype that is being pushed. It's going to be great to see what you post in your new "hometown"!

I'm in the process of building out a van. You are such an inspiration to me, a solo female traveler. I live in a small town just south of Provo, watching you drive through Provo and up Provo Canyon made me excited for you to have chosen that route, it is a beautiful drive. I usually speed the videos I watch up to 1.5-2 X's normal speed, I watch yours at normal speed because I don't want them to end. Hope to run into you down the road someday. Safe and beautiful travels to you!

My dad owned a Nicknack Candy Shack right across from the Mission, he also worked at the pottery yard and we had a drive-in theater. Great memories.

If you are going to Wyoming, get off of the beaten path and discover new things. Everyone goes to Yellowstone...EVERYONE! The two lane road is packed. You spend more time concentrating on driving than enjoying. Suggest outside of Dubois, Wyoming the Petroglyphs. The mineral baths in Thermopolis. One is totally free to use, donated by the late Chief Washakie. Probably you'll need someone to show you where they are. Anyway, do things away from the crowd. You might really like it.

Wyoming is such a beautiful state, especially the area you are in. About three or four years after my dad retired he and mom were work/campers in the Grand Teton National Park for five summers. He ran a tour boat on Jackson Lake and would also take guests out to an island for breakfast or a dinner fish fry, my mom was a housekeeping supervisor, they lived in their RV in the employee campground. They had moose and other wildlife that would walk right through their campsite. Can't wait for future videos of your Wyoming adventures. Have a good time and be safe!

I was a volunteer in the park for 10 summers so looking forward to joining you vicariously on your hikes and seeing some familiar sights and hopefully lots of wildlife. Maybe even world famous grizzly bear 399 or her progeny. Check out the Lawrence Rockefeller preserve on the Moose Wilson road. From there you can also hike up to and around Phelps Lake, a beautiful destination. For amazing views of the valley hike up Cascade or Paintbrush canyons, you won't be disappointed. Beautiful video! When I was in Boy Scouts, we would take canoe trips down The Snake River.

That’s the route I like to take to Wyoming. Lots of familiar sights in this post. Brought back lots of good memories. The bootleg fire is sending its smoke all the way to NYC. The Tetons are right in that wind path. Hopefully local winds will push the smoke away, or even a nice rain storm. Thanks for posting.

There are usually wild horses in corrals behind the Catapillar company shop, about a 1/4 mile down the road on the left.

Such a beautiful scenic part of the country Cat. One of my favorites too!
I was recently in the Gros Ventre area and saw a couple bathing in the river fed by hot springs.
The Wyoming side of the Grand Tetons is iconic, especially the views from Jenny Lake, and then add to that, all of the wild life. The views of the Grand Tetons from the west, Idaho side are also pretty amazing.
Looking forward to see your adventures in your next video!

Love the driving scenery and town shots. I've taken many of those roads so it's fun to go along with you and see the scenery once again. There's a permanent web cam of the antlers intersection, where you turned, that I check out every now and then. Happy Wyoming trails!
