Love this!!! The first part of your comment has been on my heart for a while recently.
I don't think history should or will be kind to her. She attacked Tamir Rice's mother because Shaun King was using her dead son's name to raise money that wasn't going to the family to help them.
She said Jussie Smolett doing the hate crime hoax was "noble." Amanda spit in the face of actual victims of hate crimes by doing that.
These big names like Marc Lamont Hill and now Jemele Hill defending Amanda and not reading the articles that point out these issues, is some Candance Owens level grift at this point.
Amanda is ALWAYS on the wrong side of things. History is showcasing that she's not a good person and that's why people don't like her.
l am part of that number, so glad Amanda is being given space

The problem is she is very condescending, and rude, towards people that politically disagree with her. When she speaks on social and political issues half the time she doesn't know what she's talking about. She has a, "I'm holier than thou" attitude and she takes zero accountability in her role of why people dislike her. I think there are a lot of intellectual black women people value. It's just that Amanda has an issue with disrespecting people and relationships. She also has a nasty habit of making false accusations against people publicly like when she falsely accused Myron Rolle, a Harvard educated black doctor and former NFL player of sexual harassment. Amanda might be smart but she is not a good person.

From time to time, I have bristled or even vehemently disagreed with both of these women. And I respect the hell out of their talent and courage. People need to stop being so in their feelings and listen to understand. I appreciate this interview so much and wish both of them growth and prosperity.

Ms. Seales is giving us so much education, love, and truth. And those are bitter pills to swallow when you are not living in an open space that is clear. I love her comedic personality. You may not always agree with her; but at the end of the day she’s a Black woman and she deserves the same respect as everybody else as a human being!!

Amanda shines brightly on social media, radiating beauty and passion. While her love for candy corn might not resonate with everyone lol , her journey through grief truly resonates with me. Experiencing gratitude and personal growth amidst grief is profound. Her ability to channel her grief into positive energy, empowering herself and others, is truly remarkable. It's a journey only understood once experienced. She's a special soul, transforming her grief into something extraordinary. And taking the responsibly to not bring children into a world that has not made it easy to be a mother or a child is actually a selfless act
Love Amanda. Hope she uses the negativity as fuel to continue to motivate not only herself but others. All that hate is coming from those who want to have people be seen as less than . Amanda is the one that pushes people to want more for themselves to think more of themselves to be seen equally. She's a leader among followers not easy sending you a lot of love keep it up

She's a former childhood star survivor. Nobody gets out unscathed, I believe. It's a weird brutal reality/non-reality to grow up in. I grew up in Dallas in the 90s where there were a lot of opportunities and casting calls. I'm really glad my parents didn't let me have that experience.
Jemele is my favorite podcast and interviewer. Her autobiography is a worthwhile listen. It makes her more endearing. ❤❤❤

I can absolutely relate. It’s tough to be a woman who stand by their ideas regardless what the masses think. Every single tweet I make turn into a hate fest because of my political orientation😅. After a while you build an entire system to avoid seeing the mean comments lol. I have a particular respect for brave women who stand by their opinions no matter how many people agree with them. I really enjoy this, black People hated Marcus Garvey…he went back home and his people threw stones on him, as a prophet you just have to find spaces that love you and do your work from there.
The problem with Amanda is that she fails to actually listen to WHY people do not like her and become likeable. She doesn't care to be a likable person. I see how she talks to people in her comment section. It turned me off just seeing it and I lost the little bit of respect I had left for her.
It's likely that people stand with her message but just don't like HER.
I used to be a brash person with pure intentions. I remember a friend telling me that I hurt their feelings and from that point I made it my business to consider my delivery because I cared about who I hurt.
She has no desire to adjust b/c she's always right in her mind, it seems.
There is another element to that. I don’t believe she is rude. She is passionate, confident and direct. If she was a man or spoke softly, there would be no problem.
The package! As I typed it she did it in the interview. America hates minorities speaking truth to power or even having an unpopular opinion; loudly. Certain groups hate not having rebuttals for intelligent retorts.

Great interview...The truth is people aren't ready for the truth, being a truth teller makes people uncomfortable sometimes because when the truth is out they have to be accountable for their actions oppose to living the lies they tell themselves, that's why they get mad..Amanda speaks truth and I appreciate that!

People describe Amanda Seales as being a polarizing figure because she is an outspoken black woman. There have been black rappers or famous black men in America who have said or done some bad things whether it's toward women or people in general, but they are still well-liked. Those men don't receive any or little backlash from the things that they have said or done that some people may see as offensive. So this is sexism pure and simple.

Amanda's delivery used to work my last nerve. Lately, I decided to listen to her because I could never say that she was ignorant, uninformed, boring, or unfair. I now listen to her daily, and I so appreciate her unique and totally necessary voice.
