One clever ploy that Hurrem applies is, she gives "refuge" to the servants of her enemies -- Sumbul, Diana, Gulsah etc are all examples. Though, she has the power to banish them from the palace or to take their lives, she tactfully "hires" them gaining their loyalty in exchange for her mercy (although, I doubt it was actually for the sake of "mercy"). So, Hurrem is a step ahead of them.
Kind of reminds me of The Story of Yanxi Palace. Yingluo knew her new servants were probably working under someone else's orders, so she let them betray her and then pointed out that, after proving themselves as untrustworthy, no one else would want them, so they had better stay loyal to her from now on if they wanted to stay in the palace. Of course they realized very quickly that she was right!
@@IzzyKawaiichi Woah, I watched The Story of Yanxi Palace , too!!! Hurrem would've found her Chinese counterpart in Ying Luo. How she stayed loyal to the Empress and how the Empress was the only one who could recognize the talents and wits of the servant girl (Luo who would later become the emperor's consort herself) despite everyone thinking evil of he, really impressed me. I think loyalty serves well -- whether it is the Ottoman empire or the empire of imperial China ( forgot which dynasty the Chinese drama was showing in Yanxi Palace).
@@IzzyKawaiichi Wei Yinglo 🙄 She just happens to distrust the people in her employ so she can keep her position 😂💀 Yanxi Palace more often than not felt like a comedy than drama because of it's main character 😂😂😂💀
This was the time Fahriye knew that she was serving the wrong side until then. She realised who was the strongest Sultana and why. She will only make her more strong from then on.
In 03:49 minutes, I'm sure not only me like the way Hurrem raised her hand😅.. The way Hurrem raises her hand really looks unpretentious, but still nice..Can't move on with hurrem style acting😍😍
There is a glaring differing between how hurrem handle the traitors and how hatice n mahidevran handle them 👍 Hurrem applies lot os tact n logic while the other 2 were irrational& too arrogant 👍
Well, Mustafa take her from the market and she became loyal to them. Mahidevran ask her if she can kill Hurrem then she said she can but in the end she became loyal to Hurrem😂
Please remember while SOME of this is based on actual history, most if it is made up of intrigue to make it play well for television. It is mostly fiction as no one knows what went on in the day to day lives of people all those years ago..
Hurrem is right, turn enemies into friends and they'd never risk being your enemies again. Pitty that in real life all palace servants were on a rotation so none would form any attachments to one concubine/sultana over another. It was supposed to prevent all the incident that happened in the show, where the women got away with things because they had loyal people to cover for them
If I was in the Ottoman plalace and being Sultana servant I would have very scared as nilufer😭❤️. Anyway the whole Servant are Very strong people😎 I like them they are brave👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🎉🎉🎉🎉
Finally Farihye start singing Hurrems tune including the black magic , poison , attack and all sort of wickedness that failed, conniving in cahorts wicked , greedy sisters will soon get busted by Suleiman

Why did fariya betray the sultanas and go to hurrem's side....I mean one thing was the sultanas, but later betraying mustafa and aiding in the scheming of his death, after he saved her and gave her a life, plus was nothing but kind to her, unbelievable!
Because hurrem treated her better than Mahidevran. Mahidevran only cared for herself and the thing that benefits her but with hurrem she treated her servants with respect and gave them good life
I've kind of been thinking about that too. lol. I supposed how Mahidevran & Mustafa treated Helena (a free woman that Mustafa fell in love with) really affected the way she saw them. Mahidevran and Mustafa see those people as peasants, lower class, and subjects that they (Sultanas) should patronize for their own glory. But when Hurrem sees peasants people as the same human being as she is, and when she does charity she does it as a mean to end their suffering not for her own name. That's just how I see it.
True, but if she was with Hürrem she would be against Mustafa. And as for the Sultana's, Fariye would have ended dead if she would have stayed with Hatice. She was so consumed with revenge, she didn't care who burned in the process.

She even tried to help Nigar, but Nigar was obsessed with Ibrahim.

Those sultanas ever slept peacefully once? Every night they either lost sleep or stay up very late
It's not like they have a job to go to😂

Sumbal Aga is my favorite character in thos series.
Whenever I see Bali Bay questioning someone I start humming the theme song of the tv series Law & Order.
Bali Bey brings all the law he can and certainly all the order!
Hurrem is really clever.
Bali Bey,. Oh wow, best looking man out of all of them
Isn't that the TRUTH!!!!
Hey did you forget Shehzade Mehmet 🥺
Hurrem and Sumbul can communicate with different dialects
I really need to start watching this show again. Stop watching it a few months ago. Seeing these videos just shouts to me I must watch again-all!

Do you know when Sumbul returns to the palace? Because during Hurrem's funeral, he can be seen along with other mourners.
And Sumbul Aga (Selim Bayraktar) appeared with Meryem Uzerli in the first series after she recovered and returned to acting.
