No , there is no need for you to feel stupid for not knowing Mauritius before, you can still add it to you travel list. :)
Mauritius is a wonderful little island where there is a lot to see and it is not because i am Mauritian that I am saying so, it is true. What you have seen in Kara and Nate’s video is only one part of Mauritius, the island is also a melting pot of cultures. Mauritius includes people of different ethnicity which is the reason why Kara and Nate had the opportunity to taste various street foods. Mauritius is also a place where people from different religions live together, there are two popular religious place that you can visit which include Cap Malheureux church and the Ganga Talao also known as Grand Bassin Temple.
Moreover, there are a lot of historical places that you can visit which include le Morne Brabant and The Apravasi Ghat which have both been certified world heritage sites. For leisure, there is also a lot of things that you can do such as swimming with dolphins, parasailing, skydiving and you can also go for a safari at the Casela Nature park
I hope that you will enjoy your vacation if you visit the island one day :)

Just wanted to say that I really love your theme Kara and Nate. Enjoying long term traveling on a budget but also taking advantage of luxury perks. All while tasting the local food and hotel food! It's pretty much exactly my husband and I travel (early 30s). Your channel is so fun to check up on everyday and I just love seeing your travel plans. I hope your channel doesn't change! I think as you get more popular you'll be getting more free/luxury offers which is awesome, but I hope y'all keep the theme the same :) can't wait to see what's to come!

Eating Sao Mai, Fish Balls, Longue, Boulette Chouchou at Ti Kouloir in Grand Baie is the best thing you can do.. Yummy!!

I can't explain how amazing that chilli sauce is. Worth visiting Mauritius just for that alone. They have it everywhere. I tried to buy some to take back to the UK but it was no where near as good as the street venders version.
