- Finally a video for Tom Hulce, after some hard work film finding i have put together my small tribute to the career of one of the best and most underrated actors. We miss you Tom, where ever you are out there.

It’s criminal how underused he was, singing wise, in this film. Sure, he has this solo. But I want like 6 more. 😂

Marlowe I came on to say the exact same thing. I would have loved to see him singing this and the emotion coming from him. I always thought he was a great actor.

Those big blue eyes. His sincere smile lights up the room no matter where he is. Tom Hulce is full of exceptional talent and clearly born to play the role of Quasimodo. All possible and obvious deformity aside, I cannot see this man anything purer than a Quasimodo at heart. He inspires me to be "Out There".

Actors take pride in the work they do. Models are the ones who care about their looks. Tom Hulce may not look like he did when he was '20' ( who does anyway) but this guy still retains the same personality and confidence he had when he first started acting.

Wow! I just never expected this voice to come out of Tom Hulce. I know he's done Broadway but it's too bad he didn't do singing on Broadway. It's a credit to him that they used his very singing voice for this. Didn't happen for Demi Moore.

Usually the singing voice is different from the acting voice for Disney Animated movies. Not in this case. He did a great job.
That’s not the case so much these days. In current Disney films, they almost always try to cast someone who can voice and sing the part. But before the early 00s? You’re absolutely correct.

Tom Hulce has one of these voices that not only has a sense of innocence but exudes so much life and joy! He was made to play Quasimodo and so many roles including that! Plus clips of Amadeus in it was pure perfection! ❤❤❤

Beautiful homage! He should have won, not F. Murray-- that was like Salieri's last laugh. I suppose they couldn't forgive him for Animal House; but he learned to play the piano and practiced 4 hours a day to play Amadeus-- he was magnificent! Yes, so underrated.

Disney World has a new evening fireworks show against the castle in the Magic Kingdom. and it's wonderful to find out that the song out there has a major role at the beginning of the show. I was never bad too much fan of Hunchback of Notre Dame, but after hearing this song played in that evening show it made me look up the musical again. It's a great song. anyone interested in seeing the show you can find it on TH-cam and the name of the show is happily ever after.
Yes I saw Happily Ever After this song and 'I can go the distance' made me tear up a little. My cousins didn't understand because they weren't born when those movies came out
I came here specifically looking for video of Tom Hulce singing this song. It occurred to me that I'd never seen him singing it, and I wanted to. It's an incredibly well-done piece of work. we watched the movie where he played mozart at school and I knew he sounded so familiar when he talked. I couldn't figure out why this annoying man was my favorite character until I saw his name in the credits. I adore quasimodo lol!

He's in Seattle if you read his IMDb biography he talks about how obviously if he was in LA or New York he would have more opportunities for theater or film but he chose to live somewhere where he's happy and near his family.

Why did someone have to comment on him letting himself go. You know it's people like you that are probably part of the reason he's not in movies anymore. Do you really want to see a world of people that are all only 100lbs or less? We all look different as we all should. You think actors exist solely so you can put a hot picture of them on your ceiling? I think he's a really talented man who it's a shame probably feels like he can't share his gifts with our superficial society anymore.

It isn't their looks they are trying to promote, it's their talent. Their looks are what their agents and publicists are trying to promote, and they get sucked into that line of thought.

Valid point. But i think Tom is doing well in the world of theatre now, he grew and moved on with his life. He's very talented and i'm sure has more to share than just being up on screen. We all care what we and the people around us look like, it's a part of being human. All actors take great pride in their appearances, or should as it's their looks they're trying to promote, if you are offended by opinions on your personal appearance, don't be an actor, model or leave the house...

I’m pretty sure this was one of the first actors who played both the normal speaking and singing voices. Because before it was usually 2 different people but now in their animated movies it’s the same person
They generally replace the singing voice if the speaking voice actor can't sing, or isn't trained well enough. In this case the slightly raw naive singing voice of Hulce fitted the character of Quasimodo perfectly, so no need to use a double.
