    Great shootout! So cool that a scooter 20+lbs lighter can hang with and even beat its big brother! I really like that they've packed so much performance into this weight.

      It really does feel like a lightweight version of the Gallop. Now that the weather is finally set to cool down a bit, we can do some daytime riding haha 🎉.

      Yah they both handled that wind pretty well. When I left the house its was perfectly calm. As soon as I pulled the camera out gusts of wind came from nowhere lol. Probably because of the crazy swings in temperature. It was 117F in the Phoenix area around late afternoon.

    Hey Tom. Very cool comparison. I think if it was no wind. You would have gotten better top speed for both scooters. Man nobody is putting out reviews like you my man. Keep them coming. I hope Ausom will send you the new Gallop. 😎

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks, Chris! Yah with no wind I think 40mph is definitely possible. The wind just kept getting worse as time went by. Plus it was mostly a crosswind that kept shifting direction. Almost bailed on making the video but figured we all ride on windy days, why not haha. More realistic 🤣.
      The new Gallop looks sweet. I’m really curious what the suspension is like. The original Gallop is like riding around in a Cadillac haha. Very plush.

    Really great review, just what I wanted actually, as mentioned I’ve considered the gallop and yume hawk pro. No expert but I attribute the results to the dye pro due to its weight? Cause the gallop has a stronger battery no? This video makes me like the leopard etc pro more but I still would choose the gallop due to the removable battery and solid reviews I’ve read on it. In all for me the yume still gives me more for my buck though, but I still have to read up more on them

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! So the DT1 Pro is about 20lbs lighter. The lighter weight could explain some of the performance difference. The Gallop does have a more plush suspension so it does a better job of absorbing impact on rough surfaces. Both scooters are 52v but the Gallop does have a 400w advantage in the motors. It really comes down to weight at the end of the day. I will likely do another speed run. Both are very capable of hitting 40-41mph, it’s just a matter if you have enough runway for it.
      The Hawk Pro looks interesting. Not sure I’d want to go 50mph though 😅…maybe just once haha

    • @hhova29
      @hhova29 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tomsgadgetgaragethanks for the great video comparison. It does seem like it’s the weight difference that may be the variable between the two. I also heard aside from what u mentioned on the suspension that from other reviews that the brakes are better on the gallop?
      I do like that removable battery option on the gallop though. But the dt1 has some nice upgrade for security and phone charging. The dt1 reminds me of a g2 master in a way. If it’s a good choice then it’s worth it.
      Yeah i agree with u on the yume lol but for its quality and what u get including a Samsung battery and extras I wouldn’t mind. Plus has cools lights lol.

      So it’s really going to depend on rider weight, riding conditions, acceleration strength settings, and what speed mode you’re in. Eco mode is around 24mph on this scooter. I get in the 30’s on the original Gallop in dual motor in speed mode 2. I’ll do a range test next weekend to see how the DT1 Pro fares. The original Gallop has 1,206Wh of capacity vs the DT1 Pro’s 946 Wh of capacity. On my first ride impression video I went about 11 miles and had about 50% battery remaining after riding around in sport/race mode with lots of crazy steep hills.

    I got the DT1 Pro, that thing is so good, and the build quality is top notch. It's also lighter, only weighing 30kg.
    What sealed the deal for me was the easier latching mechanism, as I don't want a "screw on, screw off" type, since it's more time-consuming

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s been great so far 😎. Of all the days it had to be windy, today was the day LOL. Once this heat wave passes next week I’m going to do another speed run on a day with no wind. I have a couple more PMT tires coming sometime next week. Will swap the tires out after I do some off road/trail riding.

      The Gallop SR1 looks pretty sweet :). How do you like the Klima? I've been considering that scooter for a long time.

    • @JulianRides
      @JulianRides 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @tomsgadgetgarage iv had my klima max for more then a year. The only thing iv had to do was just replace the brake sensor wires both and that's the most common complaint most people had with the klima scooter. It's torque as hell I think has higher acceleration then the vsett10+ I have that scooter too. The suspension on that klima is like I'm surfing lol, its so freakin smooth. The CST tires are durable as hell ever since I got this scooter I still didn't have to replace the tires as of yet. The front looks way more warned out then the rear tire tread, I'm getting close to 1000 miles so far. Another thing that surprised me is how it does not go through color wear or paint discoloration from the weather elements. The horn is loud as shell when I'm behind a car people think is a motorcycle behind them how powerful the horn it lol. Probably not ideal to blow that horn if your on a side walk to the pedestrians needs like a bell attachment. It is very light to carry I don't struggle to lift it and cool feature is that springy charging port cap closes back on its place. That's something manufacturers should start to implement on escooters that type of charging port caps the springy kind. No doesn't need a steering demper its sturdy even going close to 45 mph. And the breaks I geuss I would say feels better then nutt brakes they are Logan so scooter stops on a dime and very responsive the brakes. As long as I had the scooter I did not have to bleed the brakes yet though I did have to replace the rear disc brake cauze the stock one snapped don't know why. When i bought my klima back then I spent about $2,840 for the max model from fluidfreeride and that's not the fast charger included. But now it's worth buying it now its just like $2,200.

      Yah as time passed the wind just kept getting worse. Plus it was a crazy crosswind that kept shifting directions. The Gallop got the worst of it. On a windless day I think both can get to 40mph even with me at 204lbs.
      I think $1,049 is a steal of a deal for the Gallop. There are other scooters out there for $1,000 that aren’t half of what this scooter is. It also does really well off road. Now that I think of it, I filmed an off road video a few months ago. I’ll have to put that together and publish it.

If you’re looking for a more plush ride, I’d go with the Gallop. The DT1 Pro has the advantage of being more lightweight, which makes it easier to lug around, but it does have a firmer suspension, making it a bit less refined when going over gnarly bumps/cracks in the road.
