Also in Scotland and it's harder to find those specialists. Great summary, I'd add that those specialists need to be experts on your make/model. Many advertise as classic specialists but don't know the tricks and pitfalls of specific models.
@RookieRestorations I'm in Edinburgh. You'd think I'd be spoilt for choice but classic friendly services come and go. I tend to end up paying top dollar, the price for being in the capital I guess.
I've been looking for a Classic Mini for a while. You've given me a lot to think about.... especially since I live near Tulsa Oklahoma. Not a lot of Classic Mini enthusiasts and shops are around me.
@@RookieRestorations lol! The Tulsa King doesn't do the beauty of the area justice. It's not as beautiful as Scotland, but it's pretty beautiful at times.
Hey! I live up in Edinburgh and im looking at getting myselg a classic mini as my first car. I just moved here so not really tooo sure about specifics regarding insurance, tolls , additional costs and what not. So, now knowing that youre based in scotland too, could we set a call or message to catch me up to speed on everything il need to do to get myself a nice mini over here
If i'd listened to my head and not my heart I would never have bought my Mercedes CLK convertible. It has been a complete disaster rust bucket with so many things wrong with it, it earned the name "The Merc That Does Not Work". If I'd listened to my head, I wouldn't have had so many adventures and challenges and difficulties and so much fun, That car has cost me thousands and it's still only worth £500 and every penny has been worth it ( well, nearly every penny).

Where abouts are you Roddy? I used a specialist over in Tilicoultry if I need proper work done...after I've messed it up 😂

Top advice 👍…
Cost me ALOT of money to find that out 😂
Don’t be surprised if that bill rises still where the mini is concerned! 😂
