    I am a Jamaican. I have never listened to Martha talk before. She sounds like a very passionate woman who deserve to be seen as a top athlete in her sport. So sorry we had to be the team to take your team's place, but I am truly happy that we made it into the next round. Best wishes on the rest of your journey in life. Just put God and the Lord Jesus in front of all you do.

    A Goddess retires. If any woman aspires to athletic greatness, look no further than Marta. It will be ages until anyone touches the hights she reached and receives the respect of both men and women that Marta got. Obrigado Marta! Love from Bosnia and from Brazil's greatest fan! 🇧🇦🇧🇷

    Like Sòcrates, such is Marta’s legacy that The World Cup is not the most important thing to her. She goes down as the player who fought and will continue to fight for a better world. She goes down as the player who Pèle himself called his equal and helped Marta in her fight. Marta’s legacy is playing out in front of her and she will be the Godess of football in Brazil as one of the greatest to ever play the beautiful game. I hope Brazil get the next World Cup in 2027. Even more importantly, I hope the Brazilian FA invest properly in the female structure so that they and the next “Marta’s” can win the World Cup and Olympic title. As far has her playing record goes what a career. She’s the World Cup all time top scorer male or female with 17 goals. First player male or female to score at five FIFA World Cups. She’s Brazil’s all time goal scorer with 115 goals overtaking Pelè who retired on 77 goals. 2 time Olympic Silver Medalist, Champions League Winner, Copa Libertadores Winner, 3 x Copa America Winner. 🇧🇷

      @R.a.f.a.e.l. ปีที่แล้ว

      No, she was born in the right country, becoming an inspiration for other brazilian women to go ahead. This is not much of an issue in countries such as the US, where soccer is seen as a sport which can be naturally played by both genders, but in Brazil there's still a strong stereotype regarding this. Soccer/football is considered "a man's sport" and females who play it are considered "manly" and are constantly bullied. Nope, Marta was born in the right place. Thank you, Marta, for everything you did for us.

    • @gobzinho1
      @gobzinho1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@R.a.f.a.e.l. you actually agreed with what I said..when she burst on to the scene in 2007 that was too early for her and Brazilian society as a whole..imagine if Marta came out now with Debinha, Geyse , Karoline etc? A much more organized and tactical Brazil with better talent..she would definitely have won a world cup or Olympic medal.

    Winning is not everything......
    Winning is the only thing.....
    Team selection for Brazil appears sus........
    They hired a great coach who understands how to break down defenses and open spaces.....
    That leads me to believe players with the proper mentality are not being selected and the culture is not about winning.....
    Marta has played early on in a much more passionate disciplined culture......
    Same problems with the US women.....

    Why do you have EMOTIONAL in capital letters for the title of this video, it seems unnecessarily sexist. Why is it that men are passionate, but women "emotional".
