I realize every time I go into a fragrance store or a Macy’s department, I seem to know more regarding fragrances than the customer service representatives. They never seem to know what I’m talking about.
They're main concern is quota over passionate knowledge and experience. I've been going to the same Macy's for years, enough to be recognized, and they always B line me to whatever is on display before they allow me to ask for the 5-15 test strips I always end up doing. So far, the only time that b-line worked was for Dior Sauvage Elixir.
You are spot on. Macy's salespeople have actually given me the wrong fragrance on more than one occasion. I think I tried to buy Boss Bottled EDP and the gave me BB Intense or some other flanker. Had no idea what they were doing. So frustrating!

Mercedes-Benz Club Black is worth every penny, I have Spicebomb Extreme and Armani Code Absolu, all “vanilla bombs” and I’m taking Club Black every time (yup I said it), for me it’s a better smelling vanilla and cost is about half of the other 2 👍🏻

I have a ton of fragrances and none got me more compliments than Explorer. I’m on my 3rd bottle, it’s my every day scent. I bring home new fragrances all the time but my wife insists that explorer is always her favourite.

While I have some other scents that I feel are better then explorer for the price I paid it's a nice scent, similar but a little different then Aventis, doesn't seem to last very long but still a nice scent.
I LOVE Eau Des Baux.. There's a L'Occitane store here at the mall near my house and I just go there and re-up when I'm out. I wear it in the cold weather. It's gotten me quite a few compliments!
Pulse of the Night is still readily available in our discount drugstore type shops here in the UK although it is priced a lot higher than the other more common Issey Miyake fragrances it sits next to on the shelf (Pulse is about £40 Uk, many others around £20-30). Finished my Wanted By Night - should have grabbed some more in last years xmas sales but it’s still cheap here and always gets compliments - a ‘dumb reach’ for the colder months for sure.
I think Fahrenheit from Dior is every man's Dad daily driver😂 My dad likes that one so much. We tried giving other perfumes, which he only sprays when his bottle is empty. So for christmas we just give him fahrenheit different editions and large bottles😂

Encre Noir isn't that big of a projector, and in an air-conditioned environment like a plane I think it would be okay. It's also about 50% Iso-E-Super so people tend to find it pleasant enough even though it's different

Mercedes Benz Cologne is sold out on every UK website. Only place I can get it is eBay (and it's nowhere near as cheap as low 40s for 120ml, it's over £60). Luckily, I have most of my 75ml of Dior Homme Cologne and a 120ml Zara Vibrant Leather Summer, but it is still quite tempting to get a 40ml just to see how it compares.
I wanted to like Fahrenheit . Got it at Walmart every time I’d run my nose across the spray in my hand I got a slight headache like when I would wiff gasoline when I was a kid. Took it back immediately 😢.
Awesome to see L'Occitane Eau des Baux and Mercedes Benz Cologne featured here, both definitely worth every penny indeed. Odd not to see them pop up more often in TH-cam. To this list I'd add Mugler Cologne, and Zara Warm Black (the original in the black bottle at least; haven't smelled the new one in the amber bottle.) PS. imho Eau des Baux layers very well with Reminiscence Patchouli, kind of 4 sprays of Eau des Baux for one of the Patchouli. Awesome!

I've never tried Gucci intense oud but I have tried Versace oud noir and while it's not bad I didn't like it compared to some of the other oud colognes. How's the Gucci intense oud? They don't even have any in the stores near me.

The only frangraces I feel that they're worth every penny are: Hugo boss number 1. CK be. Sauvage ADT. Justin Timberlake play which was discontinued. New west by which was also discontinued These frangraces smell fantastic and are a confidence booster, as well as they have very distinct characteristics. In our days fragrance companies lack creativity which is why they smell similar because of cloning and using the same type of ingredients to make a fragrance, which makes them predictable.

Pasha de Cartier parfum's drydown I find quite related to the drydown of Elixir, in fact I find it slightly fresher and more refined. Also incredibly long lasting at least on my skin. It's pretty much half the price of Elixir
Azarro Wanted by Night is nice and I am wearing it right now but it does not last all that long before needing a respray. Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir is one I still am not sure about. I smell it totally different to how you describe it so its a bit strange.
Then I own three Ferraris (Uomo, Bright Neroli and Scuderia Forte) and a Mercedes-Benz (Club Black...) I know Fahrenheit Le Parfum is hard to find a clone of. The closest I ended up finding is USA inspired Fragrance Degree. Smells a little more leathery than Farhenheit Le Parfum does.
I have Ferrari Radian Bergamot, L'Occitane Eau des Bavx, Issey Miyake Noir Argent and Versace Oud Noir. IMO, as you said, Eau des Bavx is in the pinnacle of the all fragrances of L'Occitane, jejeje

Nice selections bud. Noir Argent is a great choice. Reminds me of a designer version of something Amouage might do. I remember when I got the OG bleu de Chanel for full retail. The quality justifies its price even after smelling hundreds of other things.

It's great! I sometimes layer it with demeter pipe tobacco; result is quite similar to tobacco vanille

Dont know if it is with me, but in Europe we eat sweets called "chocolate bananas", and somehow Dior Far. Parfum smells like it😅 And I love it.

Heard that theeau des baux is a dupe for tobacco vanille. Went to the store immediately and they said its discontinued long ago😭

I have jet black enigma , it’s nothing like argent.
Pasha de Cartier parfum's drydown I find quite related to the drydown of Elixir, in fact I find it slightly fresher and more refined. Also incredibly long lasting at least on my skin. It's pretty much half the price of Elixir
Ferrari Bergamot dont smell like Acqua di Parma initially. I has similarities in the dry down though
Azarro Wanted by Night is nice and I am wearing it right now but it does not last all that long before needing a respray. Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir is one I still am not sure about. I smell it totally different to how you describe it so its a bit strange.

I know Fahrenheit Le Parfum is hard to find a clone of. The closest I ended up finding is USA inspired Fragrance Degree. Smells a little more leathery than Farhenheit Le Parfum does.

I wish they (Dior or clones) brought back Dior Homme Sport 2012 version with the subtle iris note. Was my all-time favorite fragrance. Why do they keep messing with perfectly appreciated fragrances? Just keep them and offer new stuff under different labels...

Nice selections bud. Noir Argent is a great choice. Reminds me of a designer version of something Amouage might do. I remember when I got the OG bleu de Chanel for full retail. The quality justifies its price even after smelling hundreds of other things.

Totally gave the notes for Polo Red Extreme...yet presented Polo Red Intense. RED INTENSE SUCKS...I'm sure he was recommending Extreme...BLACK BOTTLE red accents.

How do you rate montblanc Explorer against perfumer's choice no 9? (both aventus clones)
I believe mont blanc explorer is a bit darker. Perfumers choice number 9 is awesome, more pineapple freshness in that one
@@Yohemchannel agreed - it’s something along those lines to my nose too. I’d even dare to say that explorer got a little bit of underlaying sauvage vibe to it - whilst number 9 is just much fresher and sweeter too
