The moment I first saw Jaal, I knew he was meant for me in this game. He is so adorable and romantic, I love him so much! When I got to this scene in my play through, I was left in tears and my heart had melted into pudding. It also pleases me to see that I am not alone.
Useualy i tend to lesbian relationships with my female characters, but Jaal was so nicely written and fleshed out that my alter ego falls in love with him, such a great character! For me a proof that the romances in ME:A mostly feels right, its not about to "bang (ok?)" someone, its more about growing a real relationship.

This is honestly the first Mass Effect game where I've had any problems deciding on who to romance. I was team Shakarian all the way for two and three, plus wouldn't take an LI in the first game. I was really hoping for a male Turian romance option, Vetra isn't bad but I find the males much more interesting. I think it is the voices that makes them generally more appealing.
With the fact that I've genuinely liked most of the crew members except for Cora, settling on the romantic match for Ryder has been interesting. So far my Ryder has been hitting on Peebee, and was going to go fully for Jaal. Then Reyes showed up with a single wink and Ryder has lost her way, but I feel bad not romancing Jaal now because he is so damn nice.

Why are the Angara able to even snog and eat the same stuff as humans? I mean, normally that wouldn't be an issue, but mass effect is one of the very few series that averts the no biochemical barriers trope.
