  • Hi Everyone! Thanks very much for tuning in and viewing!
This is my next new bike review and this time I'm out on the - Brand New 2022 Triumph ROCKET GT3
This one was recorded at the end of last summer and I have only just had the time to edit this one!
This is an amazing bike, really enjoyed the time I spent with this machine!
Just some comments that I think are relevant.
    1. Cruise Control does not set unless you are in 3rd Gear and going at least 29mph.
    2. The Bike does not start unless you depress the clutch - I think this is same on all Triumphs.
    3. I did struggle to change gears for some time, very positive gear shifting is required!
    4. I had a comms failure towards the end of the video so the signoff vocals are a bit poor quality.
I hope you enjoy the review and of course if you have any comments or questions or then please do let me know.
Big thanks to LINGS TRIUMPH in Great Dunmow once again for letting me take this bike out.
If your Essex based and interested in this bike make sure you get down to Lings for a test ride. www.lings.com/... Until next time... Ride Safe.

Heated grips are standard on the GT model and are optional on the R.

When you look at the prices of BMW bikes or cars or big Ducati, Harley or Indian or even Big capacity KTM or even a small family car, the rocket offers so much tech, quality engineering, design fit and finish its a bargain even at £20k.

      It depends really
What tech are you talking about?
I think half or more of the price of the motorcycle is engine itself.
After that it's just 2 wheels , tank, brakes and some electronics .
So not sure if 20k is a bargain. :D

Agree nothing is cheap nowadays and compaired to a Hardley Movin Son its a bargain .

      Hi Joe,
Sorry about that, you can always use the chapters to skip to the main things people normally like but I do understand that my style of editing may not be for everyone.
All the best and thanks for the feedback.

I had a R3 GT 221 for 5-months and 5k miles until some moron cager turned left in front of me and unfortunately the bike was totaled. Luckily I only ended up with a broken hand. Now I’m looking for a replacement for next summer in Chicago. I’m trying to decide between another R3 or maybe the new V4 Diavel. We’ll see what happens. Peace and FJB.

      Hi Barack,
Thanks for viewing and taking the time to comment.
I think the Ducati was one of the closest bikes to compare the Rocket against so can see why you are wondering which bike to now get.
I had a very similar situation here in the UK a few years back where a car turn right without looking, and I broke my wrist and my collarbone… my bike at the time - my R1200r totalled also.
When I eventually got a new bike a year later I bought the exact same model though as I loved the bike so much!
Thanks for the local knowledge on the heated grips, as you can see I was very impressed with the way they were incorporated into the bike.
      Very neat and tidy!
All the best and good luck with your choice, and when you do get out there Ride Safe!

Barack, the desmo valve service is very expensive and id go for the Rocket however that Ducati goes. It wont have the torque of the Rocket but its certainly going to handle but the finish and electrics wont be great unless Ducati has really improved their QC.

@@TheWrittleRider I ended up buying a used 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa with only 54-miles on the OD that a dealer had. I saved $4,500.00 USD from new. I just reached 600-miles and the bike is fantastic and I still haven’t been over 5,500rpm.

Hi Buddy, glad to hear from you again. I’ve not managed to get in with Suzuki yet but of course the Hayabusa is an awesome bike, a legend really! Glad you got a great deal, nearly new is always better! All the best and well, try and Ride Safe 😄!

@@TheWrittleRider I stopped by the Triumph dealer, Gina’s in Monee, Illinois today 4/13/23 to check out the new Chrome edition Rocket 3R. It’s a beautiful bike, but I don’t know if I could handle having either the sun or my own face reflecting at me while I’m riding. I think I still like the candy red 221 GT better. FJB 🖕🇨🇳

      Hi Jim,
Thanks for all your comments and for watching the video so thoroughly 😁. I didn’t comment on the sports mode you are correct. Apologies for that. To be honest, not a huge difference though just slightly quicker on the up take of the throttle in my own opinion.

@@TheWrittleRider I have a BMWR1250R and notice no difference in sport (dynamic) mode, except one does not need to turn the throttle so much, which suits my poor wrist. I ride it in dynamic in all weathers.

    • @barackblows1942

Sport is full power and road is like 75% power. I always left mine in sport unless the roads were wet, then I’d use rain mode. This bike has a huge engine but it’s not even in the top ten for fastest production motorcycles.
