    What trail do you take people too when they want to learn how to wheel?

      I know this was a year ago but an offroad park. There will be every level of trail. Usually at least a couple tow companies that will go into the park and get you if needed but likely other people will help you.

      Yeah Its an awesome trail to learn on. Vehicles with a longer wheel base have a slighly more difficult time making it over/around the rock thats in the middle of the trail.

      @NotICON Is there a spot where I can actually park a trailer.. My jeep has 4.88 gears so it's definitely not moving to quick. So I have a 16ft car hauler to tow it to places for offraoding.. Or is there a Home Depot or a other store parking lot relatively close so I can just unload there and rive the other 20 miles or so to location..

    • @NotICON
      @NotICON  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@p.m4874 the trail head has some decent parking. If you get there early you shouldn’t have an issue parking the trailer. The trail comes out 1 exit down at Cisco Grove, so you can easily drive back to the trail head. The trail is probably covered in snow right now though, and probably won’t be accessible till late spring.

    any type of recovery gear you would recommend for a first timer up here? I know it’s a beginners trail but I don’t want to test my luck lol. I have an 08 jk 2 door sport w a 3” lift on 33s but haven’t gotten around to a winch or traction boards yet

    • @NotICON
      @NotICON  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t go alone is the biggest but of advice I can give. Tow straps and a winch are going to be you most used recover items if needed, and make sure to use a tree saver strap if you need to winch to a tree.

    • @wesbarcus3761
      @wesbarcus3761 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      An accurate tire guage for airing down. An air compressor to air back up( Smitty built has a portable for around 90 dollars that will air up 33s) a shovel, a pair of heavy leather work gloves. Even a hand held 40 channel CB. Some cell phones don't work well in the hills. Spare gas can carrier mounted outside, so you don't breathe gas fumes. And a friend to go with, don't go alone. 2 jeeps are better than one . Have fun and be safe.

    • @NotICON
      @NotICON  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A 2 door on 33s shouldn’t have any issue. Depending on your experience level I would suggest going with somebody that’s familiar with the trail, and has some experience off road.

    • @NotICON
      @NotICON  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is what would be considered the “challenging” path up the trail. Once you make it to the top you can go down the back side of the mountain, and that’s the easy way down.

      So I think the back side of Signal Peak is closed down right now, so it’s an out and back the same way. Eagle Lake and Pierce OHV loop all starts from the same staging area. Eagle Lake shares the same trail head as Fordyce, but it doesn’t have the extreme rock crawling.
