I think the smitty will edge out that other one which looks like a masterflo rebrand. That version tends to break down quite a bit. The smaller version tho is a tank.
Signal Peak is in Tahoe National Forest. You get to the trailhead by exiting Eagle Lakes Rd on Interstate 80. If you come down the Fordyce side, you exit Rattlesnake Rd and come out at Cisco Grove exit on I80. It gets its name because there is an old Signal House where someone would live from April to October to watch the old coal steam trains at the turn of the century go through the wood snow sheds. The trains would start fires, and the signal house operator would call to notify there was a fire. The last operator was killed around 1932, when he was on the phone and lightning struck the line pole. It’s good trip and the view at 8,100 ft doesn’t disappoint.
Thanks Vas for the video! Great trip.
Till next time!!
My bumper covered pop right back on :) . Thanks for organizing another event
Good! Thanks for sharing that, haha I was wondering.
Hands down one the best video ever produced, love the variety of vehicles. Thank you Vas for organizing this trip. Looking forward to many more trips.
Awesome video Thank you for doing that
So nice and glad to see the owesome big group with you
Nice trees, not too many difficult rocks like the Rubicon Trail.
Really nice video and great to see a diverse group.
Hello, Can a fairly stock Ram 1500 4x4 go up this trail? I have oversized tires but it isn't lifted.
Yes you can but it does have few spots that you will get some scratches, with stock 4x4 I would take road from Exit 165 and go up Fordyce lake road
Another great video, but I am in suspense. Which way did you go out? Did anyone go to the river and back? Also which compressor is faster?
