Geoweb retaining walls up to one metre high can be built using a gravity design. Walls above one metre need to be built using a geogrid reinforced soil design.

Geoweb construction process.
Excavate and lay a geotextile to stop soil fines contaminating the free drainage fill.
First layer of Geoweb and fill.
Lay the drain.
Lay the second section of Geoweb.
Fill the second layer and consolidate the fill.
Fill the front cells with soil.
Repeat the process to the full height.
On completion, seed the soil.
Geoweb design
Geoweb can be laid on well consolidated ground.
Soil is excavated from behind the wall to a width defined by design.
A geogrid is placed under every 3/4 course. The geogrid strength and length will be designed using the soil type and wall height.
The geogrid stops the soil from slipping and acts as a single mass. The soil mass and geometry prevent the wall from overturning.
