@@TheSajHussain Can you do a video on typical refurb costs so innocent investors don't get ripped off and maybe a video on things like why it's important to know if the floor is suspended/ has cavity wall etc, a lot of us invest without knowing the technical stuff. Thanks

Really enjoyed this educational vid. I learnt that 'shared accommodation' is same as HMO. I wonder how many bedrooms is the max HMO we're allowed to run in England?

Birmingham has a city wide article 4 direction , how is it that you are able to create hmo's / shared living homes under these circumstances?

It just means we need to get planning permission. It is not an impossible task.

I manage HMOs in London, as an agent. If this guy can't get a residential mortgage what hopes are there for any of us..

It would have been nice to hear what precisely Matt does to justify not only top end rents but also even claiming to be a whole separate sub market of HMO no less. All I've actually heard is that the rooms have bathrooms, they're not small, and the tenants are all similar aged young professionals- it's not exactly breaking new ground is it.. I think he's just good at applying for refinance that's all I can really take from this
