I've never ever seen a performance like Fearnley on the accordian 17 Dec 2024 in the Point Dublin. Finer (a genius songman) and Spider were even better. We're so so grateful that you are honorary Irish. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Keeep her lit - lets do Rum Sodomy next year. Happy New Year everyrbody - and a prayer for you all. Keep it peaceful. Keep it fun.
I've got my ticket for Brixton Academy next year 2025 and looking forward to it - It will remind me of my first experience with the Pogues at the same venue back in the 80s - Let's just say back then it was total mayhem - From the front to the back the whole place was exploding into a frenzied celtic war dance - I never ever seen anything like it...
Terry wasn't on this album (but he was on the EP Poguetry in Motion which I guess they will also play at the gig). It's mad that Cait isn't involved, will feel a bit wrong to have someone else singing 'I'm a man you don't meet every day'. There must be a personal issue between Jem, Spider James and her...
@ yeah strange one as Spider and Cait had done some stuff recently over in New Orleans. Yeah appreciate TW was not in the band for RUM SODOMY but makes his to make him a part of it all
@@prangbro I don`t think there are personal issues ... Cait was on Tour with Spider 2 years ago with POGUETRY ... but in fact she isn`t an officially pogues member anymore since a long time, so perhaps she is one of the guests on the tour next year??
The 40th anniversary of Red Roses was pretty darn good. Rum, sod... should be just as good. Sally MacLennane is amongst my fav songs of all. I could nail "where the elephant man broke strong men's necks when he had had too many powers" from the first day I heard it back in the 80s.
The 40th Anniversary gigs were amazing with so many great musicians. Shane may not be there, but he is certainly there in the raucous enjoyment of these shows.
But that’s not the point. It’s a celebration of The Pogues & their music. Jem & Shane were the songwriters, but the songs are bigger than that. The songs will be sung in hundreds of years, & this is part of that process. O r would you prefer that Shane's work died with him?
They went on without him after the split happened. Dubliners name didn't end until there was only one left (Sheahan is the last) RIP Shane and the rest
What you mean is they got there & you didn’t. To be a ‘has-been’ you have to have ‘been’ at some point, not many achieve that. What have you done for example? How have you changed peoples lives? The Pogues achieved something, they changed people’s lives & are touring to honour former comrades & make a few quid. What’s your problem?

The Sharon Shannon gig in Limerick was unreal lads!! Happy 40th anniversary red roses and RIP Shane!!!!

Got tix in the pre-sale. Can't wait to see you in Glasgow again. If nothing else it will be a fine tribute to Shane 🍺
Please come to the US!
I'm going to 2025. gigs. Long live the Pogues ☘️
Outwith royalty I've never seen a funeral televised uninterrupted from start to finish on the BBC. It was brilliant but quite surreal! 😁
Get Cait and Terry on board too Guys 🙏

She’s probably busy. She can’t do the red roses gig in Dublin next month because she’s on tour so that might also be the case for this

Nice little tribute to Shane and Kirsty, but was there no mention of Daryl Hunt?
or Philip Chevron
So true.
It really upsets me that Darryl and Phil are always overlooked. They were just as important. The pogues is not just Shane McGowan.
Interview saved by Spider.
Sorry you are great thank Shane ❤❤❤
Thousands are sailing to glasgow!
Got tickets on the presale for Newcastle, taking my girlfriend who has never seen them live.
spider needs a new gazzibo
New Album!
Have to come to Oz
Spider is the man .. saying that I am laughing at this .. the BBC knobs banging about Shane when the band kicked him out in 1991! Hehe
Thought it was a Last of the Summer Wine reunion....
Where is the old singer?
Down in the ground where the dead men go
Pushing up daisies
Please come yo Spain
Nosotros vamos a Dublin 😊
Spider will do Tuesday Morning.
My favorite Pogues song without Shane
❤
Phil Chevron Ryan Thousand Are Sailing Should been Trump Theme Song...
the band will never sound or be as big without shane ❤

Wtf is a sonk???
🇮🇪
Get back to Australia!
Money making project.
@@danwebb4418 of course it is but the fans will still buy every ticket going and they will be sell outs so it’s a win win for all
how else do your suggest musicians earn a wage?
This is one of the most stupid comment’s I’ve ever seen, well done Dan Webb 😑
Yup, that’s how musicians make money, touring & playing music.
Or would you rather the songs died with Shane & the band went on the dole?
No Shane...no Pogues.
They went on without him after the split happened. Dubliners name didn't end until there was only one left (Sheahan is the last) RIP Shane and the rest
Another bunch of old has-beens.
Ok superstar
But their “has been” trumps the rest…
Another stupid comment from a low IQ moron
