Eating at the Famous Twin Chefs' Restaurant in Barcelona (3 Michelin Stars)
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 1 มิ.ย. 2024
- Twin brothers, both chefs. After college, they go their separate ways. One stays in Spain, and the other to the UK. Eventually they would reunite in Barcelona, join forces, and take the Spanish culinary landscape by storm. In 2018, they open a restaurant, and by 2022, they have all three Michelin stars.
In this episode, we will dine at Barcelona’s elite 3 Michelin star restaurant run by twin chefs.
They are the Hermanos brothers: Javier and Sergio Torres and their restaurant called Cocina Hermanos Torres.

My name is Alexander. I’m the co-owner of a ONE Michelin star restaurant, and I’m on a mission - to find inspiration in gastronomy. I love fine dining, good wine and sharing what I know with other people.
Check out my restaurant:

The only food reviewer that i believe when reviewing fancy restaurant 👍🏻👍🏻
Alex is honest. I'd be scared if he visited the place I'd work in 😂
And it is not always rosery - Like when he reviewed one of the three in the Hong Kong episode - That one got the hammer and rightfully so.
Alex is great, S3 is good too in its reviews
Well said!

Those custom sneakers are such a cool detail. It sets the scene plus it's the best possible excuse too allow your servers too wear sneakers in a 3-star restaurant, which is a major game changer on a long service.
К тому же официанты передвигаются бесшумно.
As a working class pleb i couldn't eat at these places but this channel shows me unique cuisine which i make at home now and respect to the chefs these dishes can be complicated to make let alone design and make recipes
Most of these restaurants aren't that crazy expensive to eat at. The majority of the money comes from the drinks menu. Even then the lists are curated by some of the best sommeliers in the world; the cheapest bottle of wine on the list is still on the list and it is there for a reason. There's nothing wrong with trying to have a good time on a budget.
'' i couldn't eat at these places''....yes you can, put away $ 10-20 a week away and treat yourself every three months.
@@Chzydawg I gotta try that Krug 2008 he hypes it up so much
@@SuperSetright that's right I'm working class I know how to also save cash that's silly I'm not 12 I have bills and my daughter to consider for these things and frankly that's a Disneyland ticket since I live in Phoenix I would have to make a trip to even get to a Michelin styled restaurant I'm a hell of a cook I'll just keep making it until the opportunity genuinely presents itself which would be an experience on its own
If you have friends that smoke, ask them how much the spend a week on cigarettes..save that much and you'll be able to pay for air travel and the restaurant no problem.
I like that you give context to the location of each restaurant. For example, I came here to hear your review of food, but the little story about the Michelin guide and that the restaurant was previously a tire shop was very nice to know. Recently found this Channel and when watching your older videos and later reading the comments and constructive criticism, I noticed that you took them to heart in the following videos and improved on said things which is very rare to see today IMO and find it very inspiring. Keep up the good work.
That sommelier was excellent.
Love that Alexander is getting recognized everywhere he eats now, many people appreciate the view into fine dining.
@@SailingOnACrow Well that also comes at a risk. He gets treatment and servings regular customers would not. Therefore the conclusion he makes is not necessarily applicable to others.
@@_TheRealGod in this instance the somm is actually the only one already smiling and waving in Alexander's opening shot of the kitchen. Seems that her service was already turned up before finding out about his videos.
Alexander the Krug strikes again!
Amazing video as always :)
I really love the direction you are taking this channel, Alexander. Its more of a playful spirit rather than what 99% of the other channels are doing. You really humanize the experience and break that myth that fine dining is a "snobby" environment.
I especially love that you showcase the employees at the restaurant too. That before and after shot of the sommelier was a fantastic comparison.
Really cool spot. Would definitely check it out the next time I'm in Barca. Thank you for the video sir!
I used to live close by to this restaurant and would walk by it almost daily, how wonderful to see it in action.
I'm way too broke to go to these amazing places, so thank you for letting me live vicariously through you.
The king of the food reviews !
Fantastic clip! I love your interaction with the staff and your thorough reviews 👍
Cant wait for you to try a Dutch 3 star restaurant!
why?
He went to the Librije last weekend...(and a few others none-3-stars-restaurants)...video soon I suppose
@@remy5368 And Inter Scaldes! For the rest that's pretty much it indeed, lol.
@@BiggusNickus Inter Scaldes lost their stars since the original owner handed over the keys last year. The new chef has to rebuild that rep and the stars.
@@dirkbulinckx9974 Yeah a video on the Librije is coming. Which I am eagerly awaiting :D
An amazing review once again! Thank you for sharing!
Love all your videos Alexander...Every time, I am living your meal ! So great !
Love it !! your composition of the review is as fine as the restaurant ....THANK YOU
I love these videos and I can’t get enough! Keep up the great videos !
My favorite channel right now! Keep it up with the great work Alexander!
All looked excellent , but would love to try the peas and ham 😍
Really like the interior design and the look. Less IS more. Love that concept for design. On the table too. Love their red sneakers idea. A nice change to see in a restaurant like this. Breaks the ice for it not being too snobby.
You never miss, love the fact you honest opinion on how food, wine and everything spot on 🙌🏽🙌🏽
It was wonderful reliving our amazing evening at Cocina! Azahara is the best somelier I have ever encountered! Thank you for the great video!
This channel is so good. Thank you!
I get happy when I see another video from Alexander The Guest :-) Great video as always.
My favorite TH-cam show.
Love you bro, this channel is amazing! Greetings from Italy!
I had dinner there about 6 months ago and it was mind blowing. Taking some friends there next week for another go at it!
If I had a bucketlist this restaurant would be on it. A great episode. Mouth watering.
Very enjoyable review Alexander. Really great fun
Alexander, thanks you so much for a one more great discovery!!! Just Excellent!!!! Could you, pls, give more details about such a beautiful and extraordinary dishes. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Awesome as always 👌🏻
Definitely gonna be at a million subs in no time. Love the Top tier content 🔥
I always enjoy the fact that you are rating your personal experience in these visits, this would weigh more on me then the food as it would be a once in a lifetime if I'd visit one of these restaurants.
Alexander you make my day !
Love your reviews! Keep it up please
Always great content.
The gentleman is back with much awaited video.☘️
No Krug bought in this video ? This feels like blasphemy
GREAT VIDEO! AND THX FOR COMING TO SPAIN
Really enjoyed this video !
very nice and honest review as aways. My favorite food channel
This looks incredible
Once again you made a nice one . I would like to thank you to confirm me that I made the choice to dine end June at Abac in Barcelona. I discovered Jordi years ago and this reminds me a lot of him . I went there when the place had 2 stars and a year later the well deserved 3 macaron . Can t wait that it is end June ❤
Finally im early here! Awesome content!
Your videos keep getting better.
This looks like an amazing space with an equally impressive menu. I can tell I'd love to dine there.
Best TH-cam channel of all!
This roasted chicken/cod consomme has been done so many times before, by myself too, but never have I ever seen such a clear visual look on it. Can only imagine the flavor
Thank you for another comprehensive review of a very special establishment. I love the detailed research that you share. Incidentally, Azahara is from the Arabic root 'zahara', meaning 'to shine', an example of someone living up to her name. ☀
I always enjoy his vids and his take on fine dining
Gracias por esta maravilla
Alexander, the michelin guide just posted the new restaurants that won a star in México. It would be interesting if you try some of them in a video!
Alexander You Deserve millions of followers your videos are excellent three Michelin stars!!!
That pork looked amazing. Best pork I had was on the tasting menu at Alma in Lisbon. It was the most amazing bite of Alentejo style pork with red pepper pastes and a light clam sauce.
Loved the sommelier's energy
Sone day, should I ever get 900 Euros this is the restaurant I'd love to experience.
Alex you deserve my sub, you inspire me wishing to experience fine dining. Please don't stop making videos, they're honest and beautiful to watch start to finish.
This must be the most beautiful food I have ever had the pleasure to lay my eyes upon!! :)
.
Amazing! Would love to see you visit La Sarte down near Las Ramblas in Barcelona too. Truly enjoyed my experience there
Love it 👌🏼
This is my favorite food TH-cam channel.
Hey Alexander, I love your videos! I'd love to see one where instead you choose the Juice / non-alcoholic pairing. So that people who do not drink can see the experience they would be receiving!
Why is this channel growing? The content is one of the best in the segment
looks amazing. Looking forward to Alexander trying all michelin starred restaurants in the world
Can't wait for more Spain & Barcelona videos! I wouldn't be surprised if a Disfrutar video is coming next Sunday, especially after them maybe winning 50 Best on Wednesday ;)
great opening segment....had to stop the feed to clap...cant wait for the rest
I really have to say that this place had some of my favorite plating!
I love Green Peas, those look so Good!!!
Congrats on your content, Alexander. Just wanted to point out that the so-called "cod tripe", in catalan "tripa de bacallà", is just a simplification of what really is the swim bladder of the fish, that has a very unique gelatinous texture that adds a lot of texture to stews.
Wonderful!
Wow, amazing
good one thank you
I was so happy to see the Marisa Cuomo Fiorduva. I fell in love with that wine on a vacation to the Amalfi coast
I discovered this excellent wine at the Osteria alle Testiere in Venice last Fall.
Excelente tu crítica 👍
Me apunto con mi pareja para reservar próximamente. No conocía tu canal y me he suscrito.
Saludos desde España.
Honestly for the quality and experience this seems very affordable compared to a lot of other places you've been.
Wonderful place. Thanks for being honest about the one dish you did not like. I was wondering if the kitchen fans made much noise.
I'd add the name of the restaurant to the title. Excellent video as always
Everything is so beautiful, like a sculpture. Like I would feel bad to eat them
Excellent would love to dine there 👍🎉🙏💯
after eating at these twin chefs you should definitely give jardin des sens in montpellier a visit, they are also twin chefs and i had an awesome meal there a couple years back
These videos are always a joy to watch with how much you can learn about not just the food but also the history of the restaurant itself.
I have now convinced myself this channel purely exists to get people comfortable with the concept of spending hundreds of dollars for wine at restaurants.
I think you are right. Because after a couple of 1000$ and more vids. This restaurant seemed cheap to me XD
I love how at 5:08 is all joking and laughing then when you pick up the glass you lock in like a pro
The best dressed food critic on TH-cam!!
It’s great to see there’s different ways to obtain 3 stars and it’s not the reserve of formal silver service establishments of the past.
Loved the blonde sommelier. She's radiant! Great review once again Alexander, and once again enjoyed at a more leisurely 0.75 playing speed. 😄
This is unbelievably cheap for such an extraordinary 3-star full course dining experience. I recently had lunch in a fish restaurant, just a bouillabaisse and two glasses of wine, €150, and not even a star. In Amsterdam.
Seems like every michelin starred chef had worked for Alain Ducasse.
nice video 😋
I’ve been subscribed since 10k subs and I’m cook myself ( 27 ) on my journey here in Berlin to get to the Top and one day I believe we’ll meet in one incredible restaurant ☝🏻🐝
This looks better than Disfrutar in my opinion
crazy that i’m watching this video right on the first floor of the building at 11:25
Well, the menu look very interesting but i miss some seefood there....the wine selection is amazing and very interesting, but the 2017 isnt one of the best vintage for VS....standar price for a 3 michelin start. good video and amazing review
Sandor really loves the Krug, doesn't he.
High end TV production quality on my favourite subject what an amazing channel😊
Suscribed!🎉
Alexander is like the grown up, big brother of reviewbrah
Not that expensive even for what you get. I don't usually have the money for these restaurants but will actually look out for it if I travel go Barcelona again
Your mention of a lack of enthusiasm for the Eel presentation and flavors was refreshing, not something you often hear from other reviewers. Helps us remember, perfection is not always attainable on the physical plane.
When will you visit Schwarzwaldstube in the Black Forest? 😊
Great video as usual, I must say, fine dining industry must know you are a fine dining vlogger by now
