- All the must-eat food to try at Raohe Nigh Market in Taipei, Taiwan!
It's our first time staying in Ximending, Taipei, and we start our Taipei tour at a budget friendly hotel right by the city's most adorable Hello Kitty-themed convenience store.
Taiwanese Street Food is on another level, and one of the best places to visit to experience the flavors of Taipei is at the Raohe Night Market 饒河街觀光夜市. Located in the capital of Taiwan, we dig in to all the must-eat food to try on your next visit. From Michelin rated pork pepper buns to fried sweet potato balls and Taiwanese sausages, you never know what delicious surprise awaits.
Just walking distance from the market is the Wufenpu Shopping District 五分埔商圈, Taipei's popular wholesale market where trendy clothing and bargains are waiting for be discovered.

The food carts in ximending all run away bec there's a roving cop at the end 😂 they have lookouts. It's a cat and mouse game since the cops know the food carts are what tourists go there for. So the cops walk ever so slowly hoping not to catch anyone. Haha 😅
This is too funny! We also visited a flea market in Taipei and saw the same type of vendors running around 😄
Downloading all your taiwan videos to watch for my upcoming trip! didn’t expect there to be a new video from an hour ago. recently realized I’m not after going through tourist spots, just good food (and vintage shopping), so your content really speaks to me 🥺
thank you for watching 😊 when are you going to taiwan? we actually have 2 more taipei videos coming up focused on thrifting and vintage shopping, so hope you can check those out! 😊
end of march :) definitely will watch those ☺️
I watched all the videos on your channel and the moment I like mostly that when Sam is eating
haha! thanks for watching 😊🍜
Yes!! a new episode! We always watch your videos while we eat dinner, and your food always looks better! 😂
Thank you so much for watching! 🍻 Hope it goes well with your dinner tonight haha
Great vlog, you two! All this food got me sooo hungry! So cool to follow your adventures 😁👏
Another good one! Thank you. Excited to visit by June.
Enjoy Taiwan! 😊🇹🇼

Thank you so much! More vlogs to come soon ✨️
Sam and I had the same nail polish color when I went to Taiwan last January. 😅 Made me miss Taipei and the chilly weather especially now as we approach summer. Thank you for making me remember some great memories, and for the beautiful vlogs. 😊
funny how something like nail polish can trigger those memories 🩵 thank you for watching our taiwan vlogs 😊
YEEEEE love ur Taiwan vlogs hehe :D
Thanks for watching 🤍🇹🇼
❤great video :) love it
thanks for watching! 😊
The Red House reminds me of Tokyo Station 😄 Also am surprised to see more Japanese stores like ABC Mart, 2nd Street and Tsutaya!
ooh we need to revisit tokyo station! and yes, lots of japanese shops all around 😊
I want some of those oyster dishes!
✨️🦪🦪👌🏽🤌🏽🦪🦪✨️
Welcome to taiwan❤
thank you! 🇹🇼🤍
The sausages are actually fresh and thus no need for preservatives, just the spices and flavoring that the vendor adds to the standard "red sausage" recipe. If you see a stall advertising boar or black pork instead of standard pork, it's usually worth a try especially for NA visitors that live with overprocessed and bland commercialized US pork.
Also, that milkfish restaurant you visited is my in-laws favorite. We have been eating there since it opened and it's a nice local standout in Ximen.
Thanks for the tip! No wonder the sausages taste so good. The milkfish was our favorite too.
Watching your vlog now from Osaka. Please go to Osakaaa! 😊❤ Hongkong too please! 🎉
Any tips in Osaka? We plan to go to Fukuoka this spring and maybe Osaka this year 😊 thanks for watching!
"Stay cute" 😭😮💨🤣
😄😉😄
2:23 Only those who have specific license could set up stalls there at the time
Interesting 🤔 Thanks for sharing!
Are you guys still in Taipei? When dis you shoot this? Planning to go there by 3rd week of march, hoping it’s still cold! 😁
not in taipei anymore! not sure about cold, but it should still be pretty cool in march 😊
Love the Sanrio 7-11 omg… Do you guys mind sharing the name of hotel in Ximending? :D
It's Just Sleep Ximending 🐱
Where is Ralph’s grey vest from?? It’s so unique!
Danton in France / Japan 👌🏽 very light insulated vest
We were in Taiwan 2017, lovely country but we found it hard to order in restaurants without being able to speak/read mandarin . Did you have the same problem? Great video!
I know what you mean! Not as much in Taipei, but in all the other cities English was definitely uncommon. When ordering food we had to rely on Google Translate. The camera function in particular was useful 😊 Thanks for watching!
Hi! Nice vlog! May we know the hotel you booked and hm per night? Appreciate the response! ❤
thanks! we stayed at just sleep in ximending. it was around $120 USD per night
Hi! Can i know where you got the oyster lu rou fan?
Full Pond Tainan 👍🏽
hi! may i know whats the name of the store selling cat themed stuff? or perhaps the whereabouts? thank you!
hi! this is at the red house in ximending
May I ask if you research and make your itinerariea beforehand or you just wing it and search on Google maps when you're in the destination already? Thank you! 😍
not strict with itineraries, but we do research if there are certain events/ weekend markets we want to go to. we plan our days around certain areas or neighborhoods but leave room to explore. we definitely check out recommendations on google maps though to give us an idea of where to eat along the way! 😊
@@RalphSam thank youuu this helps a lot! I'm a chronic itinerary planner and would always want to stick with it. But I wanna practice having more room to flow and explore. Thanks for the tip!!
in our experience, you find a lot of gems you might have missed by just wandering around 😊
Taiwan surprisingly feels just like Japan through your lens! We just came back from a 10-day Tokyo-Kyoto trip and we're already planning on coming back lol. Would you say Taiwan is a good next destination after Japan or do you have any other recos? :)
Where are you guys traveling from? 😊 Taiwan has a different energy, but it does have a lot of Japanese influences since it was once a colony. It's an interesting blend of Chinese and Japanese. Would recommend it since it's not a long flight if you're also visiting Japan. 🤍
@@RalphSamPH :) will definitely add Taiwan to our bucket list. Thank you for your vlogs!
Also, are you considering Fuji Rock Festival this June?
never been to fuji rock, actually! that's a cool idea. we might just look it up haha
@@RalphSam Would love to see that through your POV I see very few Pinoys who attend and I'm contemplating if I should try as well. I actually just know one, Erwan Heusaff and Anne Curtis haha. Hehe music + art + outdoors + Japan 💙
true! looks like an interesting mix of music and japanese-style summer camping 😊 we'll definitely consider it!
@@RalphSam You guys will be sooo bagay there! 😍
whats your hotel in taipe?
we stayed at Just Sleep Ximending
Hi, Sam! What's the name of the hotel and would you guys recommend it?
We stayed at Just Sleep in Ximending 😊 Convenient location if you want to be close to the main attractions. Personally I prefer staying in quieter neighborhoods like Daan District.
@@RalphSam Thanks so much, will check it out! Daan district as well!
whats the name of your hotel
We stayed at Just Sleep Ximending 👍🏽
Eat the stuffed fried chicken wings 😮
gotta try it next time!
